Cmon now, with floyds skills he can make fighters pay badly for their mistakes in the ring but he chooses not to do so alot of the time. There is a point in beating a guy up badly, its boxing people want to see a fighter win in the most dominating way possible and give them their monies worth. He sure as hell wasnt trying to stop baldo by hitting him with single shots. I know baldo outweighed him by alot on the fight but it just looked like floyd was content to go the distance in the fight. Even if he knew he wasnt going to stop baldo he could have looked like he was trying by putting his shots together.

And? Its the fight that counts. Hell pacquiao might weigh in the same as cotto on the weigh in, doesnt mean cotto wont be 10lb+ heavier than pacquiao on fight night.

In that case Floyd had alot more than 4 lbs on Marquez, probably even more than 10lbs.

They should remove the weigh in part then! Let Floyd and Calderon go at it!!

Yes, the size definately was an issue with floyd who knew how to use his advantages. Judging by their most recent fight night weights. Marquez was at 144 for diaz, mayweather i think has always been around 149. This whole pound for pound thing will probably get turned on its head anyway when pacquiao fights cotto.

You can say its the fight that counts, but the weigh-in also matters. If a guy is bigger then usually that means he has to drain more to make the weigh-in. It kind of levels the playing field. Floyd didn't even respect that. Pacquiao had to drain down to 130lbs in the rematch against Marquez. Imagine the outcry if he had weighed in at 134, regardless of the fight night weight. Those kind of things make a difference on fight night.

That bomb that sent Marquez to the canvas in the 3rd round would have had a bigger impact for sure.

Mayweather's most recent fight night weight dates back over 3 years. There's no way in hell he was around 149 against Marquez.

There's a reason that Floyd does not allow HBO to take his unofficial weight. If he was 149 on fight night he would have made the catchweight the day before. Easily.

Floyd would probably jump at the oppurtunity. Weigh ins dont count for much these day anyway. Pacquiao when he fought EM the third time came in on fight night at 147lbs.

He didnt look as big as the really big WW's to me. Cotto, clottey, mosley, margarito and the rest of those guys look visibly bigger than pacquiao, mayweather and marquez. The only thing i noticed was that floyd was ripped as hell on fight night whereas marquez was a little softer (he has never really had the herculean physique anyway).

I can just imagine how hard it was trying to drain yourself that much. I disagree tho, Weigh ins play a very important part in a fight. Here will come the natural abilities of the body to rebuild itself after draining. It also separates/determines who belongs in which division. If you cant make the weight, you dont belong there. No matter how big you are on fight night as long as you make the weigh in, then you're legit. You are the sole responsible and no one else should be blamed.

And your dumbass will be the first one called out if PBF fights pac.:hi: I pray to God that Pac beats Cotto so PBF can school that boy. What idiots like yourself fail to understand is that defense wins over offense. Defense is a mother****er. PBF will have Pac will befuddled and lost in the ring. Pac won't have a clue as how to attack him one becasue he doesn't face slick fighters and two he can't deal with counter-punchers. PBF will have Pac figured out in 4 rounds or less and then tool his ass. Pac will be frustrated at his inability to land and will make more mistakes PBF will then turn it up on his ass. PBF ability to adjust to all styles alone gives him the edge in this matchup but *******s like yourself refuse to see it. Pac has gotten by for to long by simply being the better athlete in the ring but against PBF he won't have that luxury and not only that he'll be in with a better boxer as well with longer arms. Pac is ****ed in this matchup PBF is a stylistic real life terror for Pac and his fans and even his own team knows it.:deal At the end of the day we'll see how much of a warrior he is when he's getting hit at a 50% clip and not landing **** in return.:hi:
