Golota didn't exactly extend the olive branch either. They probably had a little beef before the fight thats all.

People will disagree with me, but I believe Adamek has a much larger chance than Golota to win a major belt at HW, not because of his fight against Golota (although it proved he has HW power) or his skills in comparison to a prime Golota (of which he is about equal to a prime Golota, but in different aspects), but because of his determination and overall mentality when fighting. Would it not be neat and absolutly unprecedented, to see Adamek as HW and CW champ, going back and forth between the two divisions to defend his belts as interesting fights come up?

 

Also, what do you want Adamek to do, kiss Golota's ass or something? The sad reality is that Adamek has, for a long time, surpassed Golota's accomplishments and its Adamek who should be getting the respect and the recognition of being the best of Polish boxing, which is long overdue in Poland

 

What about what I wrote is completely false? It clearly is not, it's enough to watch the fight again and see for yourself. He invited the reporter to the party, that's true, I haven't heard the part about the shots at the bar, perhaps he indeed said that.

Nah man, that's not what it's all about. He shouldn't go soft on him or start apologizing afterwards, nothing of that sort. Don't misunderstand me.

The fact of the matter is Golota did help Adamek in the US and the later problems between them were started by Adamek. Polish fans who didn't like Adamek's reaction have a beef with the fact that he didn't acknowledge him at all and just pushed the hurt Golota aside like a *****.

I'm not questioning his boxing at all, he's brilliant and much better I ever expected him to be, he's made enormous progress. He won many fans with that fight but lost some of them too. If he decided to show Golota some respect he'd have won them all, that's what I'm saying.

 

Maybe Holyfield will step back into cruiser?

 

Adamek said some stupid **** about Golota and his whores. I like Adamek and he's a great fighter/boxer but that's low.

I think that You are right. It was Adamek's mistake, but we all make mistakes. I think that Adamek is a bit too much presuming, but it probably helps him to be a better boxer.

There was a guy named Konder in the so called "Team Adamek" a couple of years ago who left and wrote a book about Adamek. In it he was very critical of Adamek and he even accused him of taking steroids. The book was not successful at all mainly because Adamek was not too big of a name in Poland back then and because the guy was not exactly credible.

Anyway some time later there was an interview with Adamek and when asked about Konder he said (not during the interview per se, rather as a personal remark off the camera) something like: "I don't really know Konder, Golota knows him because Konder was sending him whores".

Needless to say Golota was pissed, having a wife and all, he went to court, won, and gave the money to charity. That's when he said his friendship with Adamek ended, when Adamek insulted him and his family. (btw I really think it was all bull****, Adamek was so pissed off at Konder he'd say anything)
