Cant say I'll miss him as far as boxing goes but I wish him all the best.

I also reckon it has nothing at all to do with fans liking him or not liking him in the UK. Freddy Roach is a man who doesnt say things if he doesnt mean them, and he has said more than once that he believes Amir is gonna be the next big thing after Pacman retires and if the relationship between Freddy and Amir is to flourish properly then Khan needs to be close enough to Freddy to allow the bond to come into fruition. (Khan would b a fool not to...? )

My personal opinion is that Roach has fallen in love with the speed of Amirs punches and he believes he can make his defence inpenetratable which would result in a possible great fighter but even the best of the best defensive fighters take a big shot from time to time and that will be the downfall of Amir Khan.

I would love to be wrong but I dont think I am.

Actually is did this post as a dig, for fun, but to see the responses it is really surprising to me that you all are not upset by this. I mean if Floyd Mayweather decided to go to the UK permanently I would be miffed. Khan may not be great yet, but he is an excellent boxer with very fast hands and very good boxing skill.

Maybe there is some truth about british fans not supporting him fully. Really, just because he lost one fight he doesnt deserve that level of criticism.

As an Irishman I'm sorry to hear that...Irish, French, German or any other Europeans don't support Amir either, stay in America you over-hyped ****.

    Thats blasphemy:D

    Bolton shits all over LA:lol:

Seriously though he says he is sick and tired of people bitching and he actually mentions Murray and Froch.

If i was him i would go but how will he get on being promoted by Fwank. Plus will he fight in the UK or try to relocate his fights aswell to the US.

I'd be gutted if Khan relocated to be honest.

It would be as embarrassing as watching the dick head Hatton fans booing the lad in front of the worlds media. :-(

Regardless of whether he's being 'forced out' as claimed it seems a perfectly logical move. His camp is in the USA, for 2 maybe 3 fights a year that is a significant portion of the calender, plus time and energy wasted on the logistics every time.

Plus the distractions of the media at home can not be a help in any way.

Boxing is a sport of sacrifices, he can live wherever he wants when he's done. It's a short career, make the most of it and give yourself the best chance...

    Exactly ^

Khan always seemed to get caught up in the 'Celebrity' thing back here in the UK. Far better for him to live and train over there. As long as the likes of Pacquiao are in the gym it will keep him a little grounded too

Are there any actual quotes from Amir or anyone related to him regarding this potential move?
