is Joe Calzaghe the finest Britain has ever produced?

Honestly that was genuinely laugh out loud funny

Many I have bolded are just about fit to carry Joe's WBO belt to the ring.

I may share a pint with you icelander at the Froch Kessler fight, where froch will expose the limitation of Joe Calzaghe once and for all. Are you definately going?

Yep I don't see why not. It's easy to convince the Misses, she loves Denmark.

Froch will be KTFO, he's horrible. A glorified Andrade.

From the last 40 years alone, Ken Buchanan and John Conteh have had more ability, and Lennox Lewis's stronger resume means he deserves to be placed higher pound-for-pound. And that's before you even bother to go back and list guys like Wilde, Lynch, Fitzsimmons, Kid Lewis, etc.

No, Calzaghe is without doubt one of the best, he is a top bracket guy for sure, but I wouldn't say he was the number 1.

Is it anywhere near Munich? I'm going to Munich tomorrow. My mum and dad live in the Olympic village there.

Also Froch by KO. Probably inside six rounds. Kessler will stand there like a mannequin and get his head taken off his shoulders.

Copenhagen...man, no. I'd guess its 500miles to Munich at least and some of that is Ocean.

Andrade thought the same, Froch is a plodder with no foot movement and weak skills, Kessler will step back and ram right hands down his throat and unlike featherfisted Dirrell who had him doing a chicken dance Froch is going down and staying down.

 Things are going to get heated between me and you that week. You better pray Kessler wins or Calzaghe's getting record threads from the Jeffro.

This guy was good but H2h Calzaghe is miles ahead. Its too much of an ask for fighters that far back to match up.

I'm not worried about Froch, I'm worried about Ward. Froch is a lifeline if things go wrong because he has no skill and moves with all the grace and athleticism of an oil tanker. I'm prepared for battle :bbb

To be fair between you and Mrplow you almost converted me... you talk a good fight but I think your misguided. Froch to expose Kessler. Dirrell to beat Abraham.. Taylor to get KTFO whoever he fights next. Ward might be the one though your right. Its obviously what the yankee doodles are hoping for.

I beg to differ, I'd prefer to say you are hopeful for your countryman rather than misguided because you know boxing. Which is why you can't help but have noticed that Froch has no boxing skill, he moves and punches like he's underwater. You would be laughing your bollocks off watching Froch if he was not one of your favoured fighters because he's comically bad at times.

Yes but you forget one thing.......

    ..... He has mong strength.

Mong strength cannot be discounted, its probably the greatest single attribute in boxing. Froch has mong strength. Kessler doesn't. :deal

I disagree with this, Benny Lynch was a ferocouis fighter and if he were a alive today I believe he would be the best flyweight in the world, the only thing that he does that I don't agree with is he does to much bouncing around and is a little bit wild sometimes which leaves himself open but other than that a great fighter and one of the best Pd 4 Pd great British fighters. I do agree that some of fighters in the past are overated, fighters like Jame Jeffries, Benny Leonard (who over reaches with his punches also his footwork is all over the place and leaves his chin up in the air) and many others but there been exceptions for this time (1900's - 1930's) fighters like Jack Johnson, Joe Louis, Archie Moore and many others, I think technic started becoming its best around the late 40's - 50's and then it became at its peak in the 70's and 80's.
