Its getting pretty obvious to me that Freddie is realizing that he bit off more than he can chew on this one.

He is talking up the fight in a big way not giving much respect to the champ by calling on 1st round KO. and declaring that there
will be no need for judges.

Coupled with the fact that there has been a lot of turmoil and distractions in this camp. ( Manny is even involved in an all day
Sat/Sun Pool Tournament this weekend )

I believe Freddie is setting it up so he can pull out while saving face that he was confident and looking forward to the fight....
he may be looking for the slightest injury for Manny to pull out
gracefully sparing him from the thourough ass kicking and starching he would otherwise be receiving on the 14th.

What do you guys think ?
Is it still a go and Roach is just a plain old roach ?

Pac will have no need to back out or reschedule this fight. Pac will own Cotto.

Yeah - That Freddie Roach has never had any of his statements backed up by being right.

What the hell are you talking about?

You think because Roach has been talking **** he knows he bit off more than he can chew?

He spoke **** for the Hatton fight. Does that mean he also thought Hatton was more than Pac could handle?

What the f@ck are you talking about? Pac is winding up his training in Wild Card Gym in LA. Pac did not run away from fighters like dela Hoya and Hatton. How much more w/ Cotto whom he's confident of beating. Cotto is a tough customer but Pac will surely beat him w/ his power and speed.

    Hater!

I would be more infuriated with the fact that Team Pacquiao keeps leaking the same damn stories every time they have a big fight.

    1. Pacquiao is too unfocused and playing basketball
    2. Pacquiao is shooting a movie
    3. Pacquiao has too many distractions in the Philippines
    4. Pacquiao is not taking the fight seriously

Jesus, at least give us some variety. These stories have been "leaked" before and everyone swallowed them up. I personally would have come out with these doozies:

    1. Pacquiao started a new training regimen where he would eat the hearts of virgins about to be sacrificed to the old Volcano God.

    2. Due to past associations with criminal gangs, Pac has been distracted with death threats from various past acquaintances.

Oh and about Roach being completely outrageous predicting a first round ko? yeah. WE never heard that before. How about his ridiculous statement that Pacquiao will knock Hatton out early? Not saying the former will come true but its not the first time Roach has said something outlandish.

All press releases . . . HYPE . . . HYPE . . . HYPE. They even have Pac's Jack Russel dog in the news at one point. :-(

. . . so NO . . . it's all systems go for the fight. Pac and his team would completely humilate themselves if they pull out now and beyond this point. :deal

I think that's fair enough. Not honoring contracts should not be allowed in the business of boxing. This kind of incidents happened before in boxing. And remember, it is not Pacquiao's fault if Cotto cannot make weight.
