Agreed. Toney seems to be completely out of the picture at the moment due to Goossen's lack of commitment to get Toney a significant fight.Retirement is a serious option, James should give it some thoughts.

 

Complete beatdown? A few years ago, Toney struggled with Peter, who is slower and smaller than Arreola. I give Arreole the egde over Peter between to rugged fighters who are not the most skilled.

 

Are you saying that Toney is a big puncher?? No way i dont even think TOney is an average pucher at heavyweight. Toneys strengths are his superior boxing skills craftiness,Experience and chin, but any top 10 heavy hits harder than Toney. A few years ago id probably pick Toney to win a decision,but im gonna go with Arreola by a close decision,i think Toney can win some rounds but eventually Arreola hurts him maybe even drops him and Toney plays survival and goes the distance. HEd whip Scott. I think they should build Quezeda up a little and maybe that fight can be bigger down the line (2chicano Heavys) I think Thompson might be the riskiest fight and the least intriguing. Id say go for Toney,or Malik Scott.

lowblow never said that Toney is a big puncher. His post seemed perfectly clear to me. He even said that putting Arreola in with another big puncher so shortly after his beating at the hands of Klitschko would be a bad move - and that's why a fight with old Toney would make sense, as Toney will not badly hurt Arreola again at any rate. That's what lowblows post was all about.

In my opinion, Toney might still be able to somehow outhustle Arreola (if James has something left), but of course he will not stop him.

I disagree on Toney outhustling Arreola seems like Toney has a tendency to do just enough to win,even in his prime,plus hes a lot older. Arreola is not a fighter your going to outhustle. Out box yes,but not outhustle.
