    Anybody catch this documentary last night? It was on the Ali vs Holmes fight, showed the training and interviews beforehand. Touched on Ali's health problems and him taking thyroid pills during training camp.

    It was disgusting, sad and shameful how sick, washed up, past it and "old" Ali was. And that this fight was even made. But Ali and alot of other people got paid, so who am I to judge.

    He talked so slow, was fat....the mustache didn't help either :lol: Then they would flash back to his prime and show just how fast he was and fast talking, it was an eye opening show. :deal

    It was excellent and well drawn up. I thouroughly enjoyed it, the footage was outstanding.

    The sparing was bad because Ali was so far gone. He could barely use a speed bag. It was very sad.

    I remember the reason Ali grew that bad mustache. He was sparring with Jeff Simms and got his lip split. Probably Ali suffered more damage in that fight than in any previous bout because he wasn't even properly conditioned to take punishment. He didn't have the energy to train properly because of the thyroid medicine. The so called "Doctor" that perscribed Ali Thyroxin in the first place should have lost his licence, if he even had one to begin with.

    The sad thing is Don King shorted Ali on his 8 mil dollar purse he only gave him 5 mil and then years later sent a man over to Ali with a suitcase with 50k in it and a letter for Ali to sign saying if he took the 50k he would not sue King for the remaining 3 mil. Ali needed money so he took it.

    Don King is scum and has been shorting fighters on their purses for years.

    I was really shocked, in awe at seeing Ali in training camp, he moved and talked like he was 60 years old. Couldn't believe it. And the most impressing part of it was when they showed him talking and training and then they would do quick flash backs to him in his prime...was amazing to see the decline of such an AMAZING athlete

    If I woke up one day and saw on the cover of the NY Post that Don King had been tortured and crucified, I would smirk and go on with my day a happier person. I've heard too much negative things about that man and honestly believe he deserves to be punished and the world would be a better place without him. Sadly, I feel that way about alot of people.

    by Jack Newfield. It is disgusting all the crooked things King has done to fighters yet people still praise him. He also shorted Larry Holmes on just about all of his purses including the 10 mil for the Cooney fight. He is scum.
