Personally I do.....Hamed gets a bad rap from critics and fans because of his flamboyant personality and early retirement(at age 28).

His only loss was in his second to last fight to another all-time great Barrera. I would rate Hamed in the all-time featherweight rankings, also he is pound for pound one of the hardest one shot punchers ever especially for his size. During his reign he

    No. Just a level below.
Most people will refuse to give him credit because of his obnoxious personality. Its very difficult to be objective about such a little **** but even so, although he's got a very good record against good world class opponents the one time he fought an atg he was beaten in a convincing manner.
    So close but no cigar.
    Definately underated by many though.

All Time Great is such a vague term. Everyone has their own definition, so it's hard to say. Personally, I think he is a sure Hall of Famer. If he's not an ATG, I'm sure some of the people who say he isn't have people on their personal ATG lists, who aren't as good as Hamed. He had all time great pound for pound POWER, that's for sure.

Hell no. Hamed was a media creation who was completely exposed against the first great fighter he fought, and then basically retired. He's not even close to ATG or even HOF level.

When he was active I guess I didn't really like him. But in retrospect I can appreciate him. We could use his type in the lighter weights today. He was great for his time but perhaps not an all-time great. I think it's debatable. I wouldn't scoff if you said he was an ATG or be against you if you said he wasn't. I would say though that he definitely doesn't get on that short ATG list. I'm talking all the weight classes, the p4p lists of the top 100 or so, I can't see anybody trying to squeeze him in there. Short list just for featherweights, I can see, I guess. If he had just one or two fights with opponents in the Barrera league and won...big difference.

Great for boxing, not an all time great. Doesn't crack the top 100 in my opinion.

Hes maybe a great fighter but no way is he an ATG. Theres a differance ATG are guys who are maybe top 5 or top 10 in their division. I dont think Naz makes that cut. Hes probably a Hof but not first ballot like ATG. Also most of those guys on his resume where way past their primes, when he did fight a great fighter in his prime he got his ass handed to him. THe more i think about it im not even sure hes a great fighter he never fought Morales,Marquez or a Barrera rematch just didnt stay around to prove himself after the ass whupping he got from Barrera. He should consider himself lucky to get into the Hall he will be Bottom tier of HOF members.

No. He was a hype job. Exposed and broken by Barrera. If Hamed was an ATG, is Barrera a God?
