You give Campbell allot of credit, for all you know nothing was wrong with him bar a minor cut, he knew he was taking a beating and took the easy way out knowing he could get a doctors note.

I think that scenario is more likely Bradley was winning every round and taking over

Tiredness and intense pain can make a coward of any man but Campbell's quitage is worse than the lot. He felt Bradley was stronger and faster and was looking to get off on an accidental butt before Bradley got a deserved a TD

That's the thing, power puncher: We don't know. You're giving it the worst possible scenario for Campbell. I'm giving the benefit of the doubt to a guy who in 40 previous fights has never shown himself to be a quitter.

And then Vasquez couldn't fight for a year and a half because it took so long to fix the injury. If Nate can fight again in 6 months instead of waiting that long, then he probably made the right choice from a personal perspective.

But they weren't really the same injury. Vasquez had a detached retina. Campbell had blood in his eyeball.

Okay, so now we're diagnosing the serverity of his cut by watching it on TV AND reading his mind?

If a fighter is of the opinion that he is in danger of serious injury, I would support him quitting whether he was winning or losing the fight.

My support still remains if it is later found out that the injury was harmless.

Unless someone is in an actual war, e.g. Iraq or Afghanistan, then their health should always come first.

thats how it seemed to me Campbell knew he was in with an energizer bunny type of guy , knew he was getting overwhelmed and thought "**** it" I see a way out of here

as for this fight I am mega stoked for this, my two favourite younger guys , the only downside is someone has to lose

And Campbell is a doctor who can daignose such a cut in 30-60seconds during a high paced fight? Seriously how would Campbell know how bad the cut is? The ring side doctor didnt see anything wrong enough to stop it, but Campbell knew better? Can I smell BS? Campbell was getting older, was never that good anyway and was in with a bigger/faster man, of which hes never managed to handle before

Again how does Nate know how severe the cut is? The Ring Side Doctor let it continue, do you think hes going to risk his medical licence by letting someone get permenantly injured?

BTW you can bet your bottom dollar if the exact same cut was caused by a punch and the ref/doctor stopped it Campbell would be crying just as much

If Vasquez was such a warrior why did he quit in Vasquez vs Marquez 1 after having his noise broken? :think I know they're two different injurys but, warriors never quit right. So by that standard if Campbell is being questioned for quitting so should Vasquez. However, I think vasquez is a great boxer:good

It's his eye, man. He's got more at stake than anybody else, obviously, so if he says it's obstructing his vision, who am I to say it wasn't? I wasn't looking through that eye. He's not a doctor, but he can tell if he's seeing spots in his vision.

Vasquez learn his lesson and erase his quitting by tko Marquez in a rematch and went to a decision win with a terrible bad eye.
