No, but he was a helluva fighter, even if I didn't like his antics.

Surely you have to actually beat a great fighter, to be considered a great fighter?

The suggestion of Hamed being an ATG is totally ridiculous. And I ****ing love the man.

    Obviously not.

For a start, you're talking bollocks. He did nothing even resembling "clear it out top to bottom". Have you ever heard of Juan Manuel Marquez, Luisito Espinosa or Freddie Norwood? If Hamed is an ATG, then someone like Jermain Taylor is an elite ATG. Hamed is not even anywhere close to contention for ATG status. He fought one prime elite fighter in his entire career, and was convincingly beaten while offering very little resistance, and then he lost heart and quit. Not even close to ATG status, absolutely no way.

another reason why i think he's an atg is because he did wat only truely marvelous fighters do.

boxing is an art and the definition of art is creativity and naz created his own style and was successful with it. wat he did was never done before and will NEVER be done again unlike 99.9% of fighters today who are doing the exact same **** in the ring that was done in the 20's 30's & 40's

remember boxing is an art and the definition of art is creativity!

By that logic Emanuel Augustus is an ATG too.

Curious what you think about Emanuel Augustus then. Top ten ATG?

    Just thought the same thing.

Yes, no-one ever wore a leopard-print skirt and took 15 boring minutes to dance to the ring, then boxed with no jab and no defence while defeating ancient ex-champs or mediocre novices, then was sorely exposed by the first elite fighter he ever fought because he had no jab and no defence, then retired.

    A unique phenomenon indeed. :patsch

if Hamed is an ATG then the flood gates have opened and we will see many boxers considered ATG's

He could have been , but he retired too soon. He had ATG type power , but his flaws were exposed all too obviously by Berrera. One loss does not wipe out a lot of impressive and exciting wins. But to quit soon afterwards does not display any adjustments or improvements , and thats what it would have taken to be considered an ATG.

you can twist it anyway you want but having a different style form anybody around doesnt make anyone an ATG.

Its about who you beat and what you achieved in your career.
