    He was unhittable by novices and shot has-beens. He had no defence at all, he relied solely on reflexes, and even then he still got clocked and dropped. As soon as he fought someone with punch variety and accuracy, his skull was a pinata. The man had no jab, no defence, no fundamentals whatsoever. He had no plan B, and was exposed as such.

    Barrera was the first world class opponent for Hamed and he brutally exposed him as a one-trick pony. Hamed couldn't adjust in the ring. He didn't know what to do. He was dancing around, trying to use his reflexes like against his bum opponents just Barrera kept coming and hitting him with easy :lol:

    he's just a great fighter who introduced the excitement of the featherweights to the boxing fan, casual/hardcore.

    Yes, Naz beating up Billy Hardy and Said Lawal introduced the world to a division which in the last 25 years had spawned Salvador Sanchez, Azumah Nelson, and Jeff Fenech.

    No, he was a good fighter and exciting to watch, but when he fought good fighters on his level, he lost or got dropped many times, Kelly dropped him how many times?

    for all that he did for boxing and for the lighter weight classes. not to mention he did win some titles and was the undefeated #1 champion in his division for years I would say yes. theres other fighters who are worse fighters that are in the hall..

    The Hall of Fame is for Hall of Famers (like Barry McGuigan).

    There is no official criteria for All-Time Great...

    ...But it certainly isn't retiring after your first loss and never having beaten one single great fighter in your entire career.

    Barrera's win over Hamed gets overrated in my opinion. Great performance by Barrera, but it wasn't the total destruction shutout that it gets made out to be.

    Correct.Although he had one more fight after Barrera.But I'm surprised the excuses haven't surfaced here yet.
