in the first half Miguel was boxing brilliant, its just that Margarito could walk through them shots and get his off, Margarito had to take alot of punishment early on for him to break through that game plan of Cottos and slow Miguel down... Can manny take the same shots that Margarito did the first 6 rounds of that fight? :nono
He has a better defense than he is getting credit for period. He can combine offense and defense better than Manny and you will see.

Cotto was very fast against Mosley. He hasn't looked as fast since then; I think he might be on the wane in that department. It doesn't really matter, in any case. Cotto's advantage is his counter-punching ability, timing, precision and power. Pacquiao will have the edge in speed just like Judah, Mosley, Malignaggi etc. but it won't be the deciding factor.
Mosley was not hitting him at will he lost the fight for a reason, Cotto hit him just as much and clottey just had the flashier combos thats all flash does not win fights

Mosley landed 53% of his power punches. That only happens to fighters with defensive issues. And Clottey had more than just flashy combos, pretty muc all of the solid connects were landed by Clottey.
