I watched the fight twice now and have dirrell comfortably winning. He is landing punches while froch is not. I give froch credit for goin to America in his first defence and coming from behind to beat taylor but he gets no credit for this win. Dirrell completely outboxed him, landed more and landed the better punches. The ref was a joke. Froch landed more rabbit punches than any other punch and shud have had more than one piont took off. Also Dirrell shud not have had a point took off. The ref did not clarify why and did not warn dirrell. Froch also hit him in the back of the head just before the ref took the point. The ref was a joke and so were the judges. If all u have to do is walk forward to win a fight then there wud be no such thing as outboxing an opponent.

most people agree that Froch didn't deserve to win the fight but its history now....no point starting new threads everyday about it.

He did win in most peoples eyes but you simply have to do more to snatch a world title from a holder.

Yeah but i dont agree with that because if u outbox them u have beat them so it is unfair that beating someone is not enough to win a title anymore.

The thing is, for the first 9 rounds he did very little apart from run/hold and fall over.
If he boxed like he did for the last 3 rounds then the judges would have no choice but to give him the win.

He simply didn't do enough overall.

He went down in the 6th round 3 times by hitting fresh air, ref should have ruled him unfit to continue.

flat out robbed no way. Get over it. He may have earned a close decision but a lot thought otherwise. he certainly fought like he didn't want to win.

This might be the most obsurd statement I have ever heard. The judges would have no choice...Listen, the last highway robbery or a name fighter was Holyfield against Valuev. Sports Illustrated scored the bout 118-110 for Holyflield. Why fights that take place in Europe tend to be so controversial is beyond me. Perhaps someone could address this question. Because, for the life of me, I can remember the last time a European fighter was robbed so eggregiously in the US....I'm talking about Holyfield here.

Oh yeah...he fought like he didn't want to win...landing the cleaner more effective punches, hurting the other fighter, and not gettting hist. Really, that's the text book definition of not wanting to win. Go soak your head, sub moron.

Then bigger fool you - either you're some kind of masochist or need to get out more. Worst fight of the year by an absolute mile, the biggest crime here is that one of them was actually declared a "winner" after that awful 36 minutes...
