honestly dirrell is great athlete but lacks defensive moves , froch really tried to box him at times,i focued on when froch tried to fight him! not box him and dirrell was very uncomfortable Abraham's offense is FIGHTING not boxing there is no flow to what he does and he will catch dirrell at some point and end it or be chaseing Andre, Abraham will land the harder shots he just has TOO much power for him ..... i like andre i just don't think he knows how to deal with fighters boxers yes fighters no..:bbb

Why did you put 'unless' in the title and then not tell us what the 'unless' was?

If, in just one training camp, you could turn Dirrell into a solid boxer/puncher with big power in both hands, great balance, and really good chin, good ring IQ, the abilty to apply relentless but intelligent pressure, and the guts to stay in the pocket and counter punch, he could beat AA. Just off the top of my head, I'd say it's a long shot.

Dirrell can't beat Abraham unless he grows a backbone and decides to come and fight. The man has amazing skills and reflexes, which he displayed against Froch but, as the fight was there for the taking, he ran, held, and complained. He seemed scared of Froch, like I've said before. He seemed intimidated that he was landing on Froch yet Froch continued being the aggressor. He simply couldn't handle the fact that Froch wasn't as awed and stunned by his flashy flurries as he thought he would be.

Well, Abraham not only has a great chin, great heart (Miranda I) and great conditioning, he also has a much better defense than Froch and has considerably more power. In fact, AA is one of the most complete fighters I have seen in recent memory, in any weight division.

Yet, Dirrell can still beat Abraham. Yes, I think Dirrell is that good from a skill perspective. It's his heart, courage and his committment to getting into a war ,if necessary, that I have serious doubts about. I know for sure that Abraham does not shy away from a war, that's for sure.

If this goes the distance, Arthur loses. He only wins this with a KO/TKO. But will Dirrell ever engage enough to let that happen?

Dirrell is WAY faster than AA. The single best thing you could do for Dirrell is teach him stay in the pocket and counter; hit and not get hit. AA's power would not mean much if all he hits is air! Moot point anyway because you need to get your sarcasm detector fixed:yep

Because the poster obviously doesn't know what he's talking about. His states that Dirrell lacks defensive moves? Really? Is that why Froch seemed to be hitting air all night?

That's it . . . that highlighted part there in your first sentence already gave you up.

You don't know what you are talking about. :deal

Did you see the Froch/Dirrel fight? Did you see how Dirrel ducked and evade Froch's punches. Did you see how he made Froch missed a lot?

. . . and here you are talking of how Dirrel lacks defensive moves? **** me!

 :rofl  :rofl  :rofl  :rofl

Abraham is not a busy fighter like Froch . . . he doesn't throw too many combinations . . . and if the Dirrel that fought Froch and the Abraham that fought Taylor meets each other . . . there's more possibility of Dirrel outpointing Abraham . . . Abraham won't catch Dirrel with his bombs . . . you can quote me on that kid. :yep

Dirrell beat Froch clearly, and made Froch miss repeatedly. But Abraham is a much, much better boxer than Froch, and much smarter. He'll bide his time and catch Dirrell late in the fight. We'll know then just how good a chin Dirrell has.

Buddy . . . Abraham maybe a better boxer than Froch but he is slower. Abraham is very effective against fighters who stood their grounds and exchange . . . but for an opponent who moves and seeks angles? That we needs to see.

Abraham is a strategist. He knows what he's doing. Dirrell will run the track meet he did against Froch, but Abraham is a much smarter boxer than Froch. He won't simply flail away into the air. Dirrell could win this fight, but he will have to have his track shoes on for a full 12 rounds, and counter as effectively as he did against Froch. Not impossible, but not an easy task either .
