Just because he looked out of it didn't mean he wanted to quit, he was tired and the cut was bothering him. When did he ever say, "take my gloves off...im done"

He looks discouraged, but he was actually in the center of the ring before Clottey.

fighters always want to end the pain, doesnt mean they actually want to stop the fight

for example one of the most balls based fighters today Martin Rogan said in the 10th round of his commonwealth heavyweight fight "im done, im too tired".....his trainers response was something along the lines of "dont be ****in stupid"

he went on to KO his opponent in the 11th

people need a kick in the ass every now and then, they are only human

all this **** coming out of mannys camp, it isnt even as if roach and people around him are saying that plain and simple manny will win because he is better, they are saying he will win because cotto is worse. that is not the way to go about things

Wow....never noticed this. I'm gonna check it out......to Cotto's credit he did man up and finished the fight. Everyone has doubts, but to fall to those doubts is different from wrking through them.

I did notice his knees buckle several times. He must've started getting flashbacks where he reverted to taking a knee

Damn, I have to also check this 8th round out. It is true though, some fighters need a pep talk or a slap to ignite the beast within. Some fighters just keep going like Morales vs McCulllom.

i take it you mean mccullough? thing is, with wayne if he had of been 2/3 divisions higher and had a KO punch, the man would have been an absolute SUPERSTAR.mark my words. anyway off topic, who do you know neither of these guys needed reminded of something or given a certain look to make them realise what was at stake or to light a flame in them?

its simply human nature imo. anyway im a big fan of both these guys but when i imagine them in the ring together i just cant see cotto losing. peopel seem to be ignoring how much a good boxer cotto is and coupled with that he has the body punching to stem the pacmans aggression hence taking away his biggest asset

You mean like Manny quit from that body shot early on and laid on the canvass in a fetal position !!!!
