    Hope it comes off.

I wa afraid Tua wouldn't fight at all till year's end so this is great news.

Ahuhanya is a decent opponent aswell.

    lol. has anyone seen Friday's KO%? cause I haven't.
He is, on the other hand, a pretty good measuring stick.

Meehan has a good record but Friday has shown to be more durable.

That isn't true, at least speaking for U.S. TV audiences (to whom Friday's the better known).

There are plenty of guys who will last longer with Tua than Arreola. He may end up making Cameron look like Chuvalo. :yep

Great to hear Tua is staying active; decent enough opponent too, not a guy with 50:50 wins to losses or anything. Sure he's not exactly world class but he's been in there some decent enough people and his losses and draws have come from Guinn, Ibragimov, Povetkin, Lyakhovich etc. So he's like a C+/B_ kind of fighter.

Good opponent choice given Tuas activity level the past couple of years. He's quite durable too, so Tua should be able to shake off some more rust in this bout.

    Two things though:

    1. I wish they'd got Meehan instead.

    2. I hope Tua maintains this activity level.

the same, i respect that tua is staying active, his fight with friday would be a good move. a good tune up fight (friday is goona get knocked out) for tua is exactly what he needs to get himself reay for the world stage. i just dont like the contract he's under, tua needs better management

Nevertheless, Tua has severe problems with Rahman.

In their last fight Rahman was not exactly in pristine shape.

Sounds like Rahman has slipped more than Tua since they last fought to a draw though, Tua should get the late stoppage this time if they fought IMO, plus Rahman was being a nob-end before their last fight, just like he was vs Lewis, calling Tua midget etc

I bet Tua wants to clean his clock this time, getting knocked down on the bell must have been very frustrating and a bit embarassing for him

Anyway Friday Ahunanya is a decent tuneup, should get some good rounds in, Im not sure but I think Tua has to fight some nonames for $50k each for a couple of fights to complete his MaoriTV contract, then he can roll with the big boys.

In truth, if Tua really does fight soon, and then again after that, I may start taking this seriously.

Really though, I have heard too many promises of a Tua comeback (to dominate etc).

Rahman won that rematch and everyone knows it...:bbb
Tuas always had problems with Rahman

But yeah now Rahman is so out of it Tua might actually be able to take him out legit

Friday is a good quick followup bout after the Cameron fight...I would try to keep Tua very active if I was managing him
