Tua needs, at least, a couple more fights with real opponents before I will take him seriously again.
A year ago this would have been a valid gripe, but at this point - FFS, what more do you want? He literally lived in the gym (putting strain on his marriage) for two months leading up to smashing Cameron (who many picked for the upset) in two rounds flat. Now there's a strong possibility of getting back in the ring within two months of that and against a name opponent. He literally just last week settled the lingering legal/managerial issues that have been a financial and emotional drain on him for years. Tua is finally dedicated and without anything holding him back. :bbb He already backed up the talk with action earlier this month, and it looks like he's not yet done with calendar year '09.
Pah! Not only is Friday tough he also has decent skills and a decent punch. Against all the odds I would bet my money on the African versus Tua,but I dont think that their fight will really come off. Tua-at this stage of his career-is totally overrated. He luckily beat Hawkins some time ago. Tua would truly have to pull his socks up against Friday whose chin is iron-made.Very risky fight for Tua IMO.
