Remind us why Bruno is so much of a better skilled boxer than Vitali again

You require a formal boxing clinic to teach you all about the very basic aspects of the game, both from a historical standpoint as well as a technical perspective. Your comparison with Riddick Bowe's performance against Golata to that of his spectacle with Billy Zumbrun is a prime example of this. And no, you weren't simply trying to draw a "styles" comparison between Stewart and those other guys.. You were blatantly attempting to make it sound like they were on the same level in terms of quality and ability, which they clearly weren't. Presumably, your purpose for doing so was to make a lame effort in proposing to power puncher that Lewis was beating the same level of opposition, that Tyson had sparked in one round.... Didn't work..

As for your school bus, I think we need to work on an upgrade for your special needs.

    Enjoy lefthook......

Do you really expect the man to comment intelligently on fighters he's never seen in action?

Well when you made lists of skilled boxers you included Bruno/Tucker for Tyson and ignored Vitali/Golota/Rahman for Lewis. More bias but thats what we've come to expect

I can actually see the case for Tyson being above Lewis, simply on the basis at his absolute peak he was better, but this lasted for only 3-4years and it is assuming he got worse and he didnt just run into better fighters. There is no justification for Holyfield/Bowe being ahead of Lewis

No going past the Tyson comparison how does Lewis's resume/performances/ability compare to:

    Marciano
    Dempsey
    Louis
    Foreman
    Frazier
    Holmes
    Johnson
    Jeffries
    Liston

    No ****,

He says one thing then changes the story as time goes on.. He also doesn't read whole posts in their entiritey, then selectively picks and chooses the things that he's going to respond, while ignoring the rest... I don't know why he does this. Christ, what's the big deal? You either agree with something or you don't, why the **** start a two day long debate on weather Alex " ****ing " stewart was better than Andrew Golata?!?!?!

I would continue to ignore Rahman and Golota as good boxers or as well rounded fighters(Golota having mental breakdowns, and Rahman being slow as a sloth). As I said you were right about Vitali (tall mobile fighter good boxing skills), and also more proof that a technically skilled fighter would give Lewis problems as was the case in his fight with Vitali.

Im not putting Bowe ahead of Lewis. Holyfield I do, based on his fights and who he fought. Personally I dont see Lewis having the same success as Holyfield had you switched their careers. Holyfield I could very easily see having a comparable or better run with Lewis's resume.

    Hmm lets see

    Fat Douglas - Pretty easy
Old Foreman - Even Morrison outboxed him
Old Holmes - tricky opponent but too out of shape, slow and immobile to actually pull out a win
Bowe 3 times - he beat him in the Olympics and got dodged, even if Bowe won the first he wouldnt have the conditioning to win the next 2
Moorer - can we see Moorer getting past 5?
Tyson - the hardest of the lot and better than the 2003 version but Tyson ducked if Lewis in '96, dont think they fancied it. If Tyson cant get him out in 5 he's getting knocked out. Tyson also said Lewis would always have been too big for him

He could easily come out of those unbeaten although there's always a bannana skin

This was a direct quote from one of lefthook's statements earlier in this thread..

later, he changed his position to this.

First he says its about being on the same level in terms of ability and accomplishments... Then he CHANGES his position to just a stylistic comparison.....

What a bunch of horse ****.

Since when are Tucker, Biggs and Bruno master boxers then?

Why do you use Holyfields age despite being in shape as an excuse against Lewis and don't give Lewis kudos beating Vitali at nearly 38 while being out of shape?

Right, and the banan peels would be old Holmes, Bowe, and Tyson and maybe even Foreman had it occured in the early 90's when Lewis was more prone to bang. Keep in mind Lewis was knocked out by Mcall and Rahman, thats a big factor.
