"my attitude was always that he should get down to his own weight for us to fight as he was always fighting above his weight. I didn’t agree with him getting the fight with Dodson, either. I was No. 3 at super-middleweight, behind Magee and Dodson, and Froch of course, so I should have fought for the title before him.”

    1) You should be at Light Middleweight, Middle at the highest.
    2) He got offerd the Dodson fight at 2 weeks notice, I wonder if you would have taken the fight................doubt it?
    3) The only reason you were number 3 is because of your promoter

"As far as I’m concerned people are going on about his agility and movement against my power. He certainly didn’t show any agility in that fight with Dodson. He got hammered for eight rounds. He was shown to be durable but Dodson hurt him and floored him. At times he didn’t box well and he looked like he didn’t want to be in there"

    1) Have not heard anyone talking about Quigley agilaty and movment, or your power?
    2) What power? The same Paul Smith that went to points with the guy who was knocked out by James DeGale in 1 round?
    3) Were you watching the same fight as us?

"I don’t think he’s got any top-level experience outside of that fight. He’s deluding himself. I think the big fight experience is with me: fighting on Ricky’s undercards, fighting in front of thousands of people at the MEN in the Commonwealth Games plus my Contender fights in the UK and in the States. He isn’t better than me in a single department.”

    1) Fighting on a Hatton undercard infront of 10 people while all the fans are still in the pub is not big fight expirience.
    2) Quigley won the british title in his biggest fight, you lost to Stephen Bendall in your biggest fight
    3) Commonwealth Games and Contender were along time ago. And on the show you had 1 5 round fight that you almost lost to a crap opponent.

I have always rated Paul Smith but its time for him to do his talking in the ring. He came back from the Contender one of the biggest names in British boxing due to the exposure he got, and he did nothing. he should of been in for british titles straight away, its taken him 4 years to get there.

I remember his coach (from the contender series) said he would be very surprised if Smith doesnt become a world champion. I reckon his experience will see him win this one but it will be a tough bout while it lasts.

  5. Yeah me too, said it from the start. Always had a laugh with Tony whenever I've met him.

It'll be an upset if he pulls it off, but I hope he does.

  6. Yeah, what was his name :huh Ray Sugar or something.

Yep he did, he's a great fighter- love the way he turns into his punches. Pure class. I think he's the favourite but Tony has always come across as a cracking bloke. Smith too was funny ripping into Banks on the Contender. That said Quigley may be a little too maneuvarable for him.

my point is, what expirience??? guy has fought nobodys since turning pro. Pascal on the Commonwealth games is still probably the best fighter he has faced and that as Pascal and an amateur.

He's talking **** like so many do before a fight, not sure it requires an indepth analysis. It's called **** talking for a reason.

No idea who'll win, surprised the odds are so favour in Smith. He lost to Bendall recently...

biggest waste of potential in boxing right now imo. he should be fighting in world title fights now. he's been overweight and under trained and prepared for years. never seen him in top shape
