Now just suppose for a second Froch goes through the super six undefeated and is crowned the Unified Champion, do you think Calzaghe would be tempted out of retirement to take him on?

Answers on the back of a SAE lol.

  2. no.. and froch surely wont win the super six anyway.. As much as I like the bloke he's a champion just waiting to get beat.

doubt it..but you never know. In fact, a Froch fight in those circumstances are about the only thing that might tempt him back i guess

  4. Theres always the chance froch will fare better against Kessler.. It was the speed he couldnt deal with

  5. If calzaghe wasnt undefeated he'd come back to fight the winner of the super 6 i'm sure.... but he cares too much about his precious 0

Good answer. That basically sums up what I think. I was keen to avoid posters getting drawn into the will froch win arguement and instead comment on the question of if he did.......?

Whats the point?...it will be a wide UD Jeff Lacy style. Froch is no way going to win this tournament.

    A daily thread about this.

    The answer is "no".

Although Calzaghe could probably outmanouver Froch in a wheelchair.

Sorry to bore you I hadn't seen the other threads. I am about as big a calzaghe fan as they come and also feel he would have too much for froch. But I do see it as possible that Froch could win this thing undefeated (granted he would have to step up his performance dramatically though the kessler fight may suit him) and I just wonder if the chance to absolutely shut everyone up (including our beloved Frochy) and earn a massive payday (and there's no mistaking it would be huge) might prove a big lure.

no. calzaghe's not some punch drunk, irresponsible spender. he's loaded, he's got a brain, and he will stay retired like lennox.

firstly froch wont win super 6 but if he fought calzaghe it'd be lacy all over again up until round 10 when rob mccrackhead pulls froch out

Straight to the point, I like that. Even if he did consider it there is no way that enzo would be in his corner. Saying that SRL is a big fan. Imagine that fighting frochy with ray leonard in the corner! lol

froch hasnt got a chance of winning super six,and if he did beat kessler by any small chance then calzaghe will remember how hard kessler was for him and with him being rusty i think the total opposite, wont be tempted out but tempted to stay retired.

but aint going to happen and at present froch shouldnt be mentioned in the same sentence as calzaghe.

Not sure it would end that way but I would go along with that result for sure.

maybe it wouldnt but with froch's defence i could definetly see a stoppage occuring.i dont see froch's team allowing to take a lacy like beating for the full 12 rounds,**** if jeff was pulled out after round 7 maybe he'd still have a career.
