Valuevs only chance in this fight is a lucky punch. Haye will outmaneuver him, and will frequently get on the inside of Valuev, landing crisp 3/4 punch combinations on Valuev, backing him up, and allowing Haye to move out and circle him. Haye will also be able to land single counters although i dont think that will be his main focus, as he will look to hit Valuev hard as soon as the fight starts. As i said i think Valuevs only chance is a single big punch, and this will be aided by the fact that Valuevs chin is good, allowing him to sustain a bit more of what Haye has to offer, hence increasing the length of time Valuev has to land that big punch. But all in all i see Haye stopping Valuev by the 3rd round, but if not then by the 8th max.
I wish that Haye would win this one. If he wants to be the real player in HW division, then he must win this. Any other result will degrade Haye to the second league in HW division.
Well let's just hope there won't be a rematch. Neither man is needed in boxing, getting rid of one of them is a good deal in book.
big fan of haye but surely at heavy weight we dont really know a thing about him? yes he knocked out monte barrett but damn he landed quite a few bombs on him before he went.
i really hope haye wins(3rd rd ko is abit too far fetched tbh),but im unsure who to pick although im leaning slightly towards valuev at the min
I wish I could share your confidence on this one. I hope he wins and will need to be better than ever to dethrone Valuev.
Holyfield gave Valuev a good fight......and Holyfield is the most shot fighter in the game, Haye will look like a prime Roy Jones in with Valuev
Valuev got outboxed by an old Larry Donald, and an ancient Evander Holyfield beat him too - so I guess that David Haye will win this one on points, if he doesn't gas. But I don't see Haye KOing Valuev.
Valuev against Holyfield was the worst Valuev ever. What if Valuev is a tad more game than that? Like against Barrret or Liakhovich. What if Valuev boxes a good fight, on a relative scale compared to his last showings? I mean it's neither unlikely nor impossible.
