Vegas Sun: Pacquiao (49-3-2, 37 KO) is looking to become the first fighter in boxing history to claim world titles in seven different weight classes. He has fought at welterweight only once before in his career, resulting in an eighth-round TKO win over Oscar De La Hoya in 2008.

Roach said he doesn’t believe Pacquiao can go any higher, although he’s not ruling it out.

“We’re pretty close to our limit at 147. We have to feed him five times a day to keep the weight on,” Roach said. “I think this will be our final stop. But you never know. If the guy comes at 154, maybe we’ll go there.”

I know this is already asking too much from the little man. But what if? Who could be the likely candidate to give Pac the opportunity, Spinks?

Nah welterweight is the end of the line. He would have to eat 10 times a day to fight at 154. Although i could see him beating a LMW if its the weakest of the beltholders. I would bet money that Pac can beat chavez jr. Besides he has to beat Cotto first.

If Pac beats Cotto impressively, i wouldnt mind seeing how hed do vs cory spinks at 154. spinks is well past his best, but pac wouldnt have a chance at williams or martinez.

He walks around probably below 154, and he has to eat 5 meals a day during camp to stay at around 147. Fighting at 154 is out of the question for at least 5 years or so, assuming he's still boxing by then.

It doesn't say how much he's eating though. During camp it's usually best to eat 6 or 7 smaller meals a day rather than 2 or 3 bigger ones.

Is the WBO belt on the line? I thought it was the WBC Diamond Belt thingy seeing as it's technically a catchweight fight. Does it depend whether Cotto makes 145 or not?

I think it's a possibility, assuming he actually gets the WBO belt if he beats Cotto. I think Chavez Jr may possibly pick up a vacant belt again a weak contender somewhere down the line, and assuming Pac is still around in a similar vein of form he could probably beat him.
