I agree. Abraham is definitely quickier than Froch and he probably hits harder as well. For Dirrell to win that fight he's got to be most offensive minded and he's got to earn Abraham's repect...because AA will just keep coming forward, and he won't hit air 90 percent of the time like Froch.

Dirrell is a great boxer puncher when he chooses to be.

As you can see, Dirrell quite clearly got the better of the exchanges against Froch. However, cute boxer will be enough to beat Abraham. He'll give Dirrell atleast 4 rounds on inactivety alone. Much like he gave a gun shy Taylor who was afraid to throw a right 4 rounds.

Froch has underrated boxing skills. He's isn't the most athletic guy in the world, is sometimes a big gunshy, and is off balance when he's in fighting, but overall, he's not a bad technician.

This is just classic. He's unathletic, gunshy and he has poor balance...but he's still not a bad technician....

    Hillarious.

First off I'll say that I completely disagree with you about Abraham and his so called "excellent guard."

A guy like Dirrell can easily take advantage of a walking punching bag like Abraham because he protects his face, but leaves his body completely open. Due to Taylor's own lack of fundamental skills and what I believed to be somewhat biased refering, Taylor was not able to capitalize on what I saw was a clear opening or "hole" in Abraham's defense.

A guy like Dirrell, with his overall style, and especially his southpaw stance will be able to take advantage of his open body almost at will, and considering his speed, very rarely get hit in return.

But from what I attribute mostly to lack of experience, which has cost him in other fights, AKA got his ass knocked down, such as backing up in a straight line, standing straight up in the corner with his hands down, and looking for a way or "running" far far more than looking to set up his offense out of his defense or countering, it is unlikely that he will be able to take advantage of this opportunity throughout the duration of the fight.

From what I witness, it seems that once Dirrell feels that he's in trouble, he resorts to running which is incredibly inefficient, and is one of the main reasons he was often falling into a clinch without throwing a punch, aside from the fact that he appears scared of getting hit, and it is because he was TIRED.

Fortunately for Dirrell, Froch was gunshy and often looked clueless when Dirrell was in the corner. Froch neglected the body work he was doing in the early rounds and instead hesitated too much and allowed Dirrell to get away.

Of course this was partially due to Dirrell's athleticism, and Froch's lack thereof, but apart from that Froch has very underrated technical skills.

People don't give him enough credit, but honestly, I think he has better technical skills than Taylor, except that Taylor is the better athlete.

If Taylor had good technical skills, something that Dirrell HAS, he would not have lost to a guy like Abraham, who like I said is basically a walking punching bag.

The thing is, Dirrell doesn't appear to have heart. And if you don't got heart, you aren't going to become a champion, especially if it's a guy like Abraham who is made to expose that type of weakness in a fighter.

Put Ward in that situation who I believe has an abudance of heart, even though he's not quite as athletic as Dirrell, we might see a different outcome, but Dirrell is not Ward.

And honestly, Dirrell did not win that fight against Froch, but obviously we look at fight and you and I see different things, and that's okay. But you don't go to a champ's home and run and hold your way to a win.

Abraham v Dirrell is going to be more boring than Dirrell v Stevens.
    Mark those words.
Dirrell should not be in this tournament. He doesn't have the style that lends itself to an exciting match up.
When he's in there with a slugger, he runs away.
I really was thinking that his fight with Curtis Stevens was a fluke (I was hoping it was). When he got in their with Froch and started doing the same dang thing again.... I knew what he was about.

If he's not going to stand there and give a fight with Froch, there's no way he's going to do it with Abraham.

This is going to be a very, very, very boring fight.
And then all of the fans of Dancing with the Stars will make more comments about how great of a 'fighter' Dirrell is.

Dirrell has a LOT of potential. This is CLEAR. But potential means **** without heart.

That's why Ward who doesn't have as much athleticsm but has a great deal of heart along with technical ability is America's best chance to be undefeated and win the tournament.

Too bad he only chooses to when he's fighting the Findley's and Oganov's.
Guys significantly shorter than him, and who pose close to no threat.

Whatever. From rounds 10-12 Dirrell dominated Froch, had him hurt twice, and was pounding on him and making him miss bad. Its quite clear you were either drunk or high at this point. You also claim that Froch is a good technician which shows how much you know, even though you admit he's off balance, and the fact that he gets hit in his ****ing head so much makes it obvious how good a technician he is,

Landed the cleaner punches, landed more punches, made Froch miss 90% of his punches. Also had him hurt clearly on atleast one occasion. But yeah he didnt win.

Forgive me if I dont take your opinion seriously.

He gave plently of fight to Froch, or how else do you explain Froch doign the stanky leg in the 10th and beating his ass around the ring in the 11th.

Dirrell is in this tournament because he is quite clearly the most athletic naturally gifted fighter in the super middleweight division.

I don't give a damn what you take seriously. I doubt you have any idea what I'm talking about by how Dirrell can take advantage of Abraham due to their styles.

You might be able to give me a general idea, but I don't think you understand the dynamics of what goes into it or you would understand where I'm coming from when I say Froch is a better boxer than Abraham.

But hey, maybe that's you. You're the guy that stands straight up and collects punches to the face like a sponge. Personally, I would never advise anyone to use that style, but hey......do what you do.

Thing is, I saw Froch headhunting like a mother ****er, getting reckless but still occasionaly landing, and Dirrell running like a deer, throwing some missed punches, but then catching Froch with a hard shot that Froch easily recovered from.

But he was running the entire time. I mean, he was running so much without even countering, just running to run. Yeah, Froch ****ed up on his gameplan which should have started at the body, even in the 11th round and ended at the head.

But still....Dirrell did not win that fight. But like I said, we obviously see different things.

Abraham is stronger, better defensively. The only thing Froch might have on him is speed. But given that they are both slow as paint drying it really doesnt matter. Froch is not as good of boxer as Abraham. We can see it in the 1 opponent they both faced. Taylor was winning a clear decision against Froch in their fight before the KO. Against Abraham Taylor was losing, and pretty much got a mercy KO.

But hey, maybe that's you. You're the guy that stands straight up and collects punches to the fact like a sponge. Personally, I would never advise anyone to use that style, but hey......do what you do.
Froch didnt land ****. And looked like a clumsy oaf when he threw his punches. He landed some punches, but most werent that powerful, and Dirrell shrugged them off. Who got hurt dumbass in thsi fight? Dirrell or Froch. It was Froch doing a half chicken dance, not Dirrell.

    5:38 of this vid.

A perfect synopsis of the whole affair. Froch missing badly, and Dirrell making him pay.
So Dirrell wasnt landing counters the whole fight. Delusional ass.

70% of the boxing world had Dirrell winning, Hell 60% of UK fans had Dirrell winning. Its not just me.

He likely doesn't even have a scorecard and just figured 114-113 sounded reasonable enough that he wouldn't get called out on his hometown bias.

I did count and its pretty acurate. Watch the fight and count by yourself. You might have a little surprise.
