I already did. I counted 30 rabbit punches and 1 rock bottom slam. I think Froch was going to peoples elbow Dirrell but the ref got in the way.

Okay this is a bit off topic, but the opening fights of the super six showed me one thing very clearly. All four of those fighters would get absolutely slaughtered by Kessler, Bute, and Pavlik.

Abraham would be the toughest for Bute, because he is hard to hurt, but Lucian would ultimately stop him or win a HUGE UD. Dirrell would be the toughest for Pavlik because of his speed, but Kelly would eventually hunt him down and put him away. None would be difficult for Kessler.

We counted 7 warnings -- zero points deductions. That ref was either a total incompetent, or on the Hennesey pay roll.

Please wait until Bute or Kessler fight a live body before you make such a bold statement. Atleast wait until the Ward fight. I would favor Dirrell over Pavlik mightly.

That's cuz you have some form or mental illness. Pavlik would put Dirrell on the ropes and beat 7 shades of **** out of him. Froch is to dumb and clumsy to catch Dirrell. you can bet your house Pavlik is not.

Doubt that. Dirrell aint a middleweight or Jermaine Taylor. As I said, wait until the ward fight. There was nothing about Bute that impressed me against Andrade. Kessler hasnt fought a live body in 2 years, and the last time he did he lost 9 of 12 rounds.

Dirrell is not even close to being as good as prime Taylor, not even in the same universe. Try to imagine Dirrell beating Hopkins; never happens.

Kessler fought Calzaghe with a serious hand injury and had surgery immediately afterwards. Give Kessler a healthy right hand, and it's a different fight.

 Prime Taylor. There was no prime Taylor. There was a young guy who was able to outwork an underweight Hopkins, and win 2 extremely controversial decisions. Draw a fat Winky Wright, and struggle with friggin Corey Spinks. Got knocked out then outboxed by Kelly Pavlik who was shown to not to be the terminater everyone thought he was when Hopkins dominated him.

Jermaine Taylor had a nice career, but it was clear, most of his record was a facade, and win faced with competant boxers with power, folded quickly.

Btw, this version of Dirrell 'dominates any version of Jermaine Taylor.

I wouldnt pick Dirrell now, but give him 3 years, he'll be in that echelon.

 Please. You probably picked Froch to run over Dirrell. You know nothing about any of these super middleweights. But im not gonna hold it against you, none of them have fought anybody.

Dirrell wouldn't do **** with Pavlik that much is clear. Froch was a slow unco-ordinated mess and he still had Dirrell running cartwheels and relying on the odd counterpunch to win the fight. Pavlik is much more methodical with his punching and would do more than enough to win a decision or stop him if he got the chance.

As for McGuigan, I agree with his comments, I think Dirrell scraped it. Also very honest from him since he likes Carl, often does punditry alongside him on British TV.

 Dirrell would handle Pavlik much like Hopkins did. His speed will be too much, and Pavliks strength wouldnt be that much of a factor, Dirrell aint no middleweight.

Dirrell would pop and move, very little Pavlik could do about he. He couldnt even hit 45 year old Bernard Hopkins in the pocket.

And please, go back and actually watch some of Dirrells fights, thats how he fought against Oganov, Stevens and Hanshaw. It wasnt Froch making him counterpunch on the move, it is simply his style. And its not like thats all he did. Jesus did you people even watch the fight? For the first 5 rounds, Dirrell and Froch are in a jabbing contest, he really didnt get on his bike until the middle of the fight.

Dirrell is very green, very rough around the edges, and very sloppy. There was no real reason to allow the Froch fight to go to the cards. It went to the cards due to Dirrells inexperience, low ring IQ, and generally poor technique.

Those are not exactly great qualities in a fight with Arthur "the can killer" Abraham. I personally hate Abraham and think he is one of the most over rated fighers on the planet. That doesn't change the fact that he will knock Dirrell out. I'd love to be wrong, but it's far more likely that this will be an occassion when it sucks to be right.

He's not as good as Hopkins or even close. If that was Hopkins fighting Froch he wouldn't only be circling the ring but he would be landing counterpunches REGULARLY. There wouldn't even be any doubt because he'd make it painfully obvious he is winning the fight, not scraping it with a few shots. He wouldn't be running and falling to the floor, he would work up close when it came down to it. And please, if Dirrell really has strength to match these guys why does he look so uncomfortable whenever Froch got near him?

Pavlik would do exactly as Froch did, walk him down, thats about all you can when faced with Dirrell. Froch's most successful punch was the jab to the midsection, Pavlik has a good jab. I rate Pavlik's handspeed above Froch's, its not great but would give him a better chance to land significant punches compared to Froch. He'd just grind out the win in slightly more convincing fashion, Dirrell wouldn't do enough again.

It was quite clear that Dirrell was saving his best stuff for the championship rounds. That was probably a mistake, but in a nuetral venue, he wins a clear unanimous decision so the point is mute.

Put it this way, Dirrell has more natural ability, stamina, power and speed then your boy Taylor could hope to aquire in 1,000 lifetimes. Is he a bit raw? Yes. Does it stop him from being able to compete with anyone in the tournament? No.

I know you only go on name recognition and dont actually watch these guys, but I would have told you how the fight against Froch was going to pan out from watching Dirrell from the get go. This is the guy who Floyd Maywather Sr said was schooling Chad Dawson in sparring. Do your homework.

You have no real basis for saying this. Just like you have no real basis for saying that Kessler and Bute would dominate Abraham, Froch and Dirrell. No fights to go off of, no style comparisons, friggin Kessler hasnt fought a real opponent in 2 years, and the only real good comp he faced, he was dominated. Bute should have been KO'd against friggin Andrade who is virtually a cripple if not for biased officiating.

Abraham is made for Dirrell. A fighter who doesnt get going until well on into the fight, and is very defensive in nature. Again a gun shy Taylor who was afraid to throw one right hand and only through a sissy jab throughout the whole fight won 4 rounds. I give Dirrell a much better chance.

Probably, that has more to do with ring IQ then ability. Dirrell did just that in the 10th, 11th and 12th. Peppering Froch with shots at will. So its not really a question of ability but gameplan. Dirrell was saving himself for the championship rounds, and was clearly winning the fight up to that point, not scraping it as you said.

If Dirrell was so uncomfortable then why was he so cooly and calmly dodging Froch punches? Froch had to miss or not land cleanly 90% of the punches he through, a bunch of those while Dirrell was in the corner. Did you even watch the video I posted of Froch missing like 10 punches in a row, and Dirrell clubbering him with 2 hooks. Did he look shaky there?

People say the same thing about Mayweather. He looks tentative against the ropes. When in actuality he is simply thinking fast and getting ready to dodge the next shot. Same thing with Dirrell.

Pavliks handspee and Froch's handspeed are near the same. Virtually to even claim a different would be silly. Froch has better intangibles. Pavlik better technically. Both so far from elite its not even funny.

Put it this way, when Paul Williams a welter, guy who was getting walked down by Margarito in the closing rounds, gets in the ring and confuses Kelly Pavlik with his hand speed, athleticism and activety, rethink whether you think Pavlik would stand a chance against Andre Dirrell.

Dirrell did enough against Froch, on nuetral soil its a clear decision for Dirrell, maybe even in the range of 10-2, 9-3. Dont act like Froch actually beat the guy in real life legit.
