I respect the Klitschko brothers, watched most of their fights but myself and I'm guessing so many other people want to see a heavyweight bring excitement back into the division. I will admit I'm a big Tyson fan so that is the kind of fighter I'd love to see again, someone that would make everyone glued to the tv to see what happens next in the guys fights. Now I'm not talking about someone that doesn't have their head on straight but someone with his skill and fighting style that makes fights exciting again. Heavyweight is my favorite division and I collect and watch a lot of the fights from this generation and past so to me, it's kind of painful to watch the post 2000's Heavyweight fights. I mean even after watching a major 90's match up it makes you miss the days of old when the fights were truly events. I think conditioning plays a big factor but it just seems not many fighters in the Heavyweight division work on their technique either. As for the American thing, I think that is really silly, I am American and I really don't care where a fighter is from as long as they are good and are exciting to watch. So in other words I really don't care where the next great Heavyweight is from, as long as they are exciting and a skilled fighter. My ultimate fighter that I would love to see is someone that fights in the style of Tyson or perhaps Frazier. I think too many heavyweights these days have terrible defense and it would just be great to see someone that can slip punches like Tyson and perhaps be bigger (Height wise) and still be able to pull off devastating fast punches. Perhaps that day will never come, but I don't see why more fighters don't learn that style or fight in that style. I do think it will be interesting to see how George Foreman III and Elijah Mccall do in the division...Of course just because they have fathers that were champions doesn't mean anything but I'm still curious. I've watched all of their fights so far and both seem like they have a lot to learn technique wise, but they are young and learning.
Without the Klitschkos the same americans and Brits who call the division dead and **** would teach us how WBA champ James Toney would have a 50-50 chance to beat Ali.
with who Arreola, Toney, peter, Maskaev. Ruiz......... so if i understand you right... with the 2 brothers in the division it sucks, with the brothers OUT of the division it produces great action fights?:huh
The Klitschkos are by any reasonable measure great fighters. They may not have the most exciting fights, but much of that has to do with the disparity in skill and strength between the K bros and the rest of the division. Even more of it has to do with promoters who try to protect their investment until a title fight, so we end up with a 28-0 prospect falling apart after eating one of the K Bros' jabs.
Arreola and Maskaev are both pretty excting me thinks. Toney's savy is always a pleasure t owatc haltough with his recent degradation it's getting a bit sad. Peter was at one time exciing.With him it depends on the opponent. Ruiz is ....
and with that being said, the klitschkos are a breath of fresh air with their presence in the HW division. without them, the belts would be passed around like a sissy in jail

Right now it is better than in 2004-2007. Now we have the Klitschkos, Povetkin, Boytsov, Chambers, Arreola, Haye, Adamek, etc.
Either Klitschko against Pov, Boystov, or Arreola would be exciting. HBO highest ratings this year were the Klitschko/Arreola fight.
