who should david tua go after....friday...aeerola....or mehhan??

there been rumours that david tua is fighting friday(whatever his name is)......aeereloa or mehan..???.........if u were david tuas managment who would u put him in with>>????:smoke

 

Right now, it would be Arreola it has the makings of the best fight of the 3 and also would boost Tua further than Ahunanya and Meehan! Meehan has been to inactive but would be a god fight for Dave to get some ring time against some tall timber!

lol the names are spelled with a phonic slur. I say Meehan helps prepare Tua for what is destined to be his ultimate opponent: the Klitschkos. Meehan is tall so at least that is something. Rahman viciously got him out of there in four rounds(I still see the sight of him trapped in the corner eating four consecutive right hands in a row), but also gave Brewster hell(them befriending each other as sparring partners didn't help). He should be a solid test but no serious threat to a focused, in shape Tua with the proper game plan.

Friday is a reasonable litmus test if the Meehan fight isn't made(it looks like it'll be Friday) He did hand Cameron his first loss after all and has a respectable record/experience.

A fight with Arreola right away is not good for either guy. Cris just got down with a punishing fight against Vitali Klitschko. In spite of his stubborn warrior heart he needs a confidence building fight before he tackles Tua. Tua also needs an easier fight than he would get against Arreola. That fight would be an absolute war considering both men's chins, punching power, and styles. Both have to be physically and mentally ready to hopefully put on a show like Tua did with Ike Ibeabuchi:bbb

If you want Tua to have a serious comback and sharpen up his skills before he takes on the best of the division, then put him in there with Friday or Meehan. Fighters which Tua would be favored against and would at least give him some much needed rounds.

It's best for Tua to have a couple of warm-up fights before fighting a top contender like Arreola. Keep in mind I'm thinking like a manager or promoter here and I want to protect my investment before I throw him in there with the wolves.

 

Could do worse than Ahunanya I suppose, but he IS a guy who lost to Taurus Sykes, drew Dominick Guinn at his most lethargic and lost to Povetkin in only his 6th fight. He has a decent chin at least and should get Tua some rounds, but his fights tend to be boring as hell.

I'd obviously rather see him face Arreola, but his inflated opinion about how much he should be worth in a fight will prevent that from ever happening.

 

Tua's not fighting Friday in December now, Kushner reckons he's got bigger fish to fry in the US, in January...I'm hoping its Areola.

 

Arreola's fighting on the Williams undercard in December, so it's not him.

 

His next 3 fights have to be fought in new zealand. Since that's the case, he should fight Friday first, than Meehan. He'll get the ring rust off then look to take a big money fight.

 

Friudays a good, quick followup..he could resort back to the Cerrone Fox level type of chumps he was facing before..so Friday is agood followup

 

Tua hasn't been very active the last few years. For any chance of success on a world class level he'd need a few more fights. Too much is being made out of Dave's demolition of Cameron. Shane just isn't that good. It appears Tua has already accomplished everything he's going to do in boxing. He'll bowl over a few more low level heavies like Cameron , but you have to remember how bad he looked 8 years ago plodding away to defeat against Chris Byrd. Tua has been nothing but fat and semi-active ever since. All he has left is the big punch, but that will only get him so far , even in the miserably bad heavyweight division of today.

 

Tua is fighting in Jan in Honolulu, Sao Paulo, NYC, or Berlin, according to a quote from CK in the US papers.

 

he might as well fight arreola at the staple center and make a statement, he's in his late 30's and coming off of a destructive victory, dont fight a bum. this is what kills me when it comes to boxing. the obvious and most lucrative fight that should be happening is arreola vs tua, no question. **** risk
