Pretty much a lull in the heavyweight division. There was a showcase on HBO in 1996 called the Night of the young heavyweights, which featured, David Tua vs John Ruiz, Shannon Briggs vs Darrol Wilson,, and Danell Nicholson vs Andrew Golota. Great card. Here's some more that were good ones: Frans Botha vs Michael Moorer Floyd Mayweather Diego Corrales Oba Carr vs Ike Quartey Felix Trinidad Pernell Whitaker Nigel Benn Gerald Mclellan Johnny Tapia Danny Romero James Leija Azumah Nelson
Evander vs Big george Eubank vs Carl Thompson 1 Shea Neary vs Micky Ward Michael Moorer vs Frans Botha Tony Ayala vs Yori boy campas
A few that stand out in my mind: Stevis Johnston-Angel Manfredy Juan Lazcano-Stevie Johnston Paulie Ayala-Bones Adams I Clifford Etienne-Lawrence Clay-Bey Clifford Etienne-Frans Botha Brian Minto-Vinnie Maddalone Micky Ward-Reggie Green Leonard Dorin-Raul Balbi I Leonard Dorin-Paul Spadafora Panchito Bojado had a few good ones but I can't think fo who he was fighting for the life of me.
