just read that Dawson only has 1 fiht left on his HBO contract and it's the Johnson fight . said he would love to replace Taylor if Taylor happens to drop out. Said he would have noproblem Making 168, NOw this is good news im sure Shotime would push green to the side to add Dawson to the mix. this Tourney would be the ISh if it comes out like that. i think Dawson has an excellent chance if he gets by Glen which i think he should.
**** Dawson would be an amazing choice but it just sucks that he would come in with a handicap (0 points). He might not make the final 4 but I think he would anyways.
Vs ward. more then likely coming off a Ko losses. and then that 3 point then vs Kessler that fight would be the ****. so he might make it to the Finals
I think any boxer with 2 wins will go to the final. One KO would assure his place. It's the best scenario for Showtime. Dawson would make the tournament stronger and of course he's American. I'm not so sure he would win against Kessler though, and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be by KO. Dawson seems to lack a little something. He has everything technically speaking but sometimes looks like if boxing is not a real passion for him. As Kessler is not over 40 years old, it wouldn't be easy.
Would be amazing but it's just self-promotion ordered by promoter Gary Shaw. 1) I don't think Dawson would leave HBO to enter a very dangerous tournament for a paycut, that's the reason he didn't fight Diaconu. 2) I think Jermain Taylor will continue. 3) If he won't, Lou DiBella will push his other fighter, Allan Green for the tourney and won't give up his position in Super Six, not for Dawson/Shaw or Miranda/Goossen. he got taylor and 3 points, had he fought dawson, it would have been 0. furthermore those who were scheduled to fight taylor, are getting a much tougher fight.
