Paul Williams should win a close UD in this fight, I think Paul will take most of the rounds after round six and that will lead to a win for him.

Definitely Advantage: Williams on that one from a fight standpoint, although it won't hurt Sergio from the angle that he'll get to keep his 154 title no matter the outcome.

It's a defineite boo at 160 but I''ll still watch and enjoy.

I can't disagree with you here as 154 would've obviously been the best weight for the fans. At the end of the day, I think this was probably a case of it happening at 160 or not at all because of the risk factor on short notice.

I think it's a great fight, but is has a downside. The downside is that when it's over PW will not have solidified his standing at 154, nor will he have fought a real middleweight.

Great match-up, Paul should take the victory. I'm thinking a wide UD

also heard it was at 160 .. and pretty bummed out. doesn't do anything really for Williams standing at Middle.

**have to ask though .. Clottey was accused of ducking out of a 154 fight vs Paul

why was Williams talking about fighting Clottey at 154 yet not Sergio?

    Good question.

But you gotta figure in Clottey would have never went to 160 either way so 154 was as far as.
Also Martinez is 34 and hasn't fought since he BET Cintron in february for different reasons(while in the meantime Kermit for example has fought twice winning one veery important fight) so Martinez is definetely desperate for a fight whereas Clottey isn't as he explained.

Williams is the ****ing man, he'll fight anyone from 147-160. I can't believe he's actually taking this risky fight. I think it will be a close fight, too hard to call.

He did a job on Williams because he fought the fight of his life and Williams can be out-boxed, though he looks to have improved a bit since then. He took one helluva arse-whooping from Cotto though. Martinez is definately on Quintan's level, arguably better.

Props to Williams on this one though, should be a very close fight. They should forget Pavlik for the mean-time and concentrate on clearing up at 154, and if he comes through this fight with Martinez in impressive style then no doubt he can clean up.

This is at 160 so the question remains of it consists of cleaning up at 154.

This is a better fight then pavlik-williams! Paul would of won a UD against pav! But martinez is pretty damn good, and he could match pauls speed!! This fight really is a toss-up! I remember seeing martinez box cintrons ears off but the refs screwed him, the fight ended in a draw!!!
