Why don't you give it a rest?
You posted this thread awhile ago, you are a joke that is no longer even mildly amusing.

Truth hurts, and often requires a little reminder.

THE TRUTH was already explained to you in posts #8 and again in post #22. Apparently it isn't any of us that need a "reminder."

No, you just need a formal education *******, now take your TWO SENSE, and take up another topic that you may actually know something about.

Playing checkers might be one suggestion.

    Then provide one.

Otherwise, you and all your other bogus usernames you hide behind are just full of ****.

Guys from the Depression era were pretty ****in' tough.

Only trying to feed their families and eat...that's all.

Might not be the greatest "stylists" but most of them were "in-shape" and gave it their best shot.....and as Joe Frazier said: "Any man with two arms is dangerous".

i've got to side with the OP. lots of these great heavies (often effectively cruiserweights) of the past have legacies built more on myth than fact and fair objective judgement

THIS GUY IS F*CKING CRAZY!! Joe Louis had 25 title defenses and wins against great oppositions such as:

    -Max Baer
    -Max Schmeling (rematch)
    -James Bruddock
    -Primo Carnera
    -Buddy Baer 2x
    - Abe Simon 2x
    -Lou Nova
    -Tony Galento
    -Jersey Joe Walcott (rematch)
    -Lee Savold
    -Arturo Godoy 2x
    -Jack Sharkey
    -Billy Conn
    -Tommy Farr
    -Bob Pastor 2x
    -Johnny Paychek (whatever what's worth)

Since when are these guys bums?

That's a consistent criticism of Louis. A lot of his challengers were meh, especially when compared to fighters of later years.

Still doesn't change the fact that he ruled his era.

GOAT Primo Carnera and Flash24 like this.

Ali and Louis are the top ATG s for a lot of people on here.
One made his name fighting some of the toughest heavy weights ever, whilst one is accused of fighting the worse over a long period of time.
    Both still legend s.
