His legacy is being creates as we speak. if people are berating floyd now about his lack of fighting the best opponents imagine in like 20-30 years.

 

I thinks floyds problem is that he wants the one big fight where everyone would stand up and say, yes Floyd mayweather is one the very best fighters ever. Also floyd knows that if he fights and beats, cotto, pacquiao, PW, Mosley, Pavlik or any other fighter from here to 160 people will find reasons to discredit the wins. Cotto was damaged goods, mosley was not prime (one last hurrah against margo from a great fighter), PW was weight drained already lost before etc etc, Pavlik was exposed by B HOP.

The problem is that floyd has set the bar too high himself. If he had been involved im more wars and didnt make fights look so easy people would give him more credit. Floyd at this point should look to take massive risk by fighting much bigger fighters if he wants to get the kind of respect he wants, fighting WW's will not do it.
