God, that list reeks of old farts... there's about 10 guys I caught off a cursory look that belong underneath Jones.

    His career did.

Boxing is a physical sport, largely dependent on reaction times. 44 year olds are no good at it.

I hate people who think they gain some sense of credibility just because they value old school so much.

I think all of these guys you underrated. Calzaghe wasnt so bad,but you actually think Calzaghe was better than Spinks:patsch Chavez seems to be Underrated on ESB. Spinks is easily a top 3 LH,and even the Holmes was past it he was still good and jumping up from LT Hvy to beat him was impressive. It would be like Jones or Toney jumping up to Heavy to beat an aging Lewis. Instead they beat Ruiz who was a paper champion.

You don't know anything about Spinks then? He's significantly higher than Joe Calzaghe, Mike Tyson, and De La Hoya. He's also ahead of Bernard Hopkins. It's cool if you ain't seen the guy fight mate, just go and purchase yourself a career set. Dominated one of the best eras the LH division has ever witnessed, and then moved up and beat Holmes and Cooney. Both men being significantly bigger than Spinks, needless to say.

FYI... for those asking about Lennox, this Sugar list is a few years old (not sure how many) and LL has gained alot since it was made. Maybe not in Bert's mind, but it's still some defense.

A name I haven't seen mentioned is Frazier... everyone loves Joe, but him at 37 seems really high - look at the names beneath him!

Bert Sugar doesn't think anyone can fight unless they have been dead for years. I think boxers today would kick the **** out of boxers 50 years ago.

I made a mistake but you dont need to be all smug about it with the I dont know anything about him junk or never seen him fight. Anyone who calls themselves a boxing fan has atleast seen the Tyson fight and know about the Holmes fights. This is you're desperate way of trying to get back at me for exposing the racist that you are.
