I agree Pernell Whitaker was the best fighter of the 90's.

I dont think its even close to being debatable bruz.

Spinks has the better resume, the better achievements and was the better fighter.
Not saying Bernard isnt a great fighter but Spinks is certainly greater in every way I can think.

Historians are going to punish Roy for the late career KO losses. It's perfectly understandable.

Prime for prime and head to head though, he gives most of the greats between 160 and 175 a night from hell.

The thing with Spinks is, he was a great LHW, but he was a foot taller than that dwarf Qawi, who despite being a tough muther****er wasn't elite.. I don't rate Eddie Mustafa and Johnson high at all, both good fighters, but "elite"? Nope.

Julio Gonzalez is as good a win as Johnson or Mustafa was.

Gerry Cooney was not much more than a Great White Hope, solid, but only beloved for being a white Irish-American.

Larry Holmes fought such shitty competition throughout his whole career that we never really got a sense of how good he really was, or wasn't.

Well, you were shitting on Jones Jr's career, turn-about is fair-play.

People just are too much in love with the past. My question is would Spinks dominate in the LHW division RIGHT NOW? He'd hold a title, dominate? I'm not certain.

After this post and the one where you said that your not sure SPinks would dominate today, Im really questioning how long youve been watching boxing. Man like how old are you,Like 12:huh
