Dont worry Alba, they will all be eating their words when Craig McEwan lands a world title.

    Fair enough mate.:good

It just seemed like a strange one; talk about throwing someone in the deep end.

Its true D-Mac. I heard before Vernon`s tragic death. The contracts were to be signed that week. Craig was really shocked as he had met, trained with and sparred with him. Not sure what Golden Boy were looking for in matching them though I suspect they would have been annoyed with Vernon for playing fast and loose with his title so when they matched them up I suspect they were saying something to him more than to Craig. When I hear for sure who Craig`s next opponent is I`ll post here. I`ve learned not to say anything till its 100% confirmed.

Mcewan v Macklin for the Euro would be good after Mcewan has had a few more fights.

    Cheers for the info Grendal.:good

Gotta take your chance when its handed to you I suppose. Seems a bit like Golden Boy were throwing him to the lions though.

Really happy to hear that Craig is sparring with Andrade, as Librado is a relentless pressure fighter, & I can imagine it would be great experience for Craig:good
Hopefully Craig fights one of the aforementioned names, I would especially like to see him fight Hernandez(thats if Im right in thinking your talking about Angel Hernandez) as he has fought at the highest level & was a world title contender.

Its still not 100% but its looking more and more like Jamie Parison in Quebec on 28th November. Jamie is a solid enough, unbeaten fighter who recently stepped up to light heavy, I think, but not entirely successfully.
Craig was recently pulled back to LA from Quebec where he was sparring with Librado Andrade which he was loving. He`s not sure yet why he was brought home but it seems to have been a petty argument between management teams which escalated. Very odd but these things happen. Certainly Craig left on very good terms with Andrade and his people and is still a bit confused, as he thought he was in Quebec till the fight.
Anyway, the Parison bout is at 160 and Craig is feeling good in his preparation. Hope he has some good sparring lined up for him at the Wildcard over the next fortnight.
