I think he's done, especially after the Pac fight.

Since watching him fight against the aging Tszyu, I have seen him slowly deteriorate.

    Hmmm.....I don't know.

Um, he did domiate his division and beat some very capable fighters. He was World class but failed at the highest echelons. Nothing to be ashamed of but he was trounced twice heavily by elite fighters.

    He's still elite at 140.

He looked very good against Malignaggi, and showed that he still belongs on the world stage, and the fact is he was THE MAN at 140....

I will say i will have to wait to see his next fight, but the longer hes out, the more that answer becomes no, hes not.

you know, im a bit dissapointed that

    Hatton - Holt
    Hatton - Bradley
    Hatton - Torres

never happened, i would have liked to see those scraps.... and i think all three would have been very hard for hatton, but also would have helped his legacy a lot.

But ive noticed Hatton doesnt get enough credit period. For gods sakes.... Urango beats old man Bailey, and everyone is appluading his ass, if Hatton would have done that nobody would have given a ****, and people seem to forget that a hatton during a downswing in his career beat Urango.

I think hatton is underrated.... hes only lost to Pac and Mayweather.

Also, to me that also tells me that deep down, people know Hatton is a good fighter, because they are obviously holding him to a higher standard then they would other fighters that they claim are not world class or elite. Take the Malignaggi fight for example, nobody has ever done that to him and malignaggi went on to give diaz all he wanted.

Hatton was an elite fighter, no doubt..... not quite the best, but def a solid, good fighter.

Yes he is an elite fighter. You don't compete at that level of competition if you're not elite and he's not the first great fighter to get overpowered and taken out early. Happened to Hearns, Duran, Frazier, Norton and many others, does that mean those guys aren't elite?, hell no.

He was never elite, just a solid fighter.

I still think Hatton is good enough to beat the guys knocking on his door for the top spot, fair enough Pac Man wasted him. Pac's a bit of a living legend in the making. Hatton is still active (unless in the new year he says different) and is still top 3 in the LWW division. Mayweather was just to cute, im sure most will disagree (and it wont sell enough), but i doubt very much Pac would be able to walk over Ricky again if they were to meet.

I told ya so! But if I say he was overrated now I am just hating on Pacman right? Even though I said it before the fight....****, even Roach said the same thing before-and-after the fight.

    No hes not.

    Hes done in my opinion.

Hes completely unmotivated by getting so ridiculously fat in between fights, and he cant concentrate thoroughly and tends to make so many mistakes now.. not only outside but inside the ring.. Hatton will never be a world champion, again.

**** it, i'l' go down as a Hatton lover! The Mayweather fight was a mistake, it was already clear before this fight Hatton wasnt a true Welter. The Pac fight showed he got blown out early. Im guessing everyone reading this can name a great fighter who lost a fight early and came back to prove the were still 'elite'.
