You're getting off track here.I am not debating the results and scoring of the Calzaghe fight.I'll leave that for Calzaghe fans like you and the Calzaghe haters.You just made my point concerning Taylor.Jermain beat Bernard twice because Bernard was PAST HIS PRIME.I know no one,in person or on this website,that believes that Taylor is a greater fighter than Bernard Hopkins in the pecking order,but yet he holds 2 decisions over Bernard.Now,I ask you.Do you believe that Taylor was a greater fighter than Hopkins in the grand scheme of things?And the (natural middleweight)Pavlik victory was Bernard's most impressive even though Bernard remains the only fighter to ever stop Glencoffe Johnson?Pavlik,who seems to have lost his desire to fight,remains a big question mark anyway because outside of Taylor and Miranda,just whom has HE beaten?

 

If punching air is a scoring criteria then yes, he smashed hopkins. Hopkins was nowhere near his prime though. If you ask me calzaghie was frustrated and outclassed all night.
