Not if he could get 4 pounds under limit just 10 months he fought Taylor the first time. It's not logical.Think about it.When he fought DLH,he was just 2 pounds above the juniormiddleweight limit.
Every line of this post shows someone who knows absolutely nothing about this sport. You are a horrendous poster.
Clearly he is better, because he smashed up the guy that smashed up Taylor, proving that he had evolved as a fighter, and could not only beat Taylor, but beat the guy who savagely beat Taylor.
Wrong. He's better at 43 than 29 because he beat Kelly Pavlik???Are you sure you want to make that claim? No.Pavlik's beating Taylor twice just proves that Jermain wasn't anything great in the first place. And what,he had "evolved" from the Taylor fights to the Pavlik fight? No.
If Taylor wasn't anything great, how did he beat Hopkins twice atsch What great fighter has Hopkins beat? a bloated small DLH? anotehr small guy that was bloated in Trinidad? then who.... he only beats up on small men, hence why teh Pavlik win was easily his most impressive. We have to accept, Calzaghe battered Hopkins from round 4 onwards, from pillar to post. That shot Calzaghe, would never have lost to any version of Hopkins, because a shot Calzaghe, has everything Hopkins ever had, anda lot more.
This stupid noob who ducked me in a boxing match, then gave me so fabricated address to show up for a knife fight Beat it sissy, or I'll expose you with your PM's again.
You're getting off track here.I am not debating the results and scoring of the Calzaghe fight.I'll leave that for Calzaghe fans like you and the Calzaghe haters. You just made my point concerning Taylor.Jermain beat Bernard twice because Bernard was PAST HIS PRIME.I know no one,in person or on this website, that believes that Taylor is a greater fighter than Bernard Hopkins in the pecking order, but yet he holds 2 decisions over Bernard. Now,I ask you.Do you believe that Taylor was a greater fighter than Hopkins in the grand scheme of things? And the (natural middleweight)Pavlik victory was Bernard's most impressive even though Bernard remains the only fighter to ever stop Glencoffe Johnson?Pavlik, who seems to have lost his desire to fight, remains a big question mark anyway because outside of Taylor and Miranda, just whom has HE beaten?
If punching air is a scoring criteria then yes, he smashed hopkins. Hopkins was nowhere near his prime though. If you ask me calzaghie was frustrated and outclassed all night. Thats why when his dad asked him at the end of the 11th round, "what the **** r u doing"? Joe said, "hes cheating"! His dad said, "i dont care", and "you need a KO"! Joe went from whining and being frustrated to saying you got your ass kicked by a whiteboy. Which makes no sense cuz usually when you get your ass kicked you can see some marks on your face. Hopkins face was clean and calzaghies face was beat up. No respect for calzaghie!
