In all honesty and undeniably but Cotto has had a way better training camp than PAC and Roach knows this. That's why he is talking all that much because he sees Cotto being so focused in his training that he wishes PAC was as focus as Cotto is. If I was a boxer going into a fight like this I much rather have the training camp Cotto had than PAC's training camp. That's just bottom line and that's why we are going to see PAC get defeated.
I agree. Cotto seems incredibly focused were as there is dissention in Pac's camp. If Pac's camp can't quickly get their **** together or Pac can't effectively block out some of the **** going on around him and stay foccussed 100% on the task ahead then it could spell trouble for him The only problem i see for Cotto is that he could over train and 'leave it all in the gym'. Didn't he start his camp a month earlier than Pac? I can't quite remember the dates but does anyone know how long Cotto's camp will have been going for come fight night?
Its been like this in Pac's camp. We all know how focused he is in training despite all the distractions. Just dont give us the "Cotto overtrained" excuse if he loses. War Pac!
Yes, I think it was August 3rd or somewhere around that neighborhood. I don't think that Cotto is will be over trained. I expect to see an active Cotto with a MUCH improved stamina. That's what I expect.
Clearly this was a result of Cotto getting humiliated by the 'Gato moves' and he couldn't handle Gato doing his 'thang thang', got his arse kicked and kicked Figueroa out for leaving him inevitably embarassed.
I think we might read abit much into 24/7. Roach probably wants Cotto and his team, and the general public, to think that pacquiao isn't prepared aswell as he should be.
I think that 24/7 is edited to build the suspense for a fight. They want people to think there is even more drama then there already is. Pac's training camps are always a circus, because that is how his everyday life appears to be. The only thing that is odd about the preparation was having to swim for a few days instead of roadwork. Not the end of the world really. I actually think the more interesting part of the training camps is that this is the first time for Miguel to be without Evangelista. Not that Evangelista is really a world class trainer, but he is all Miguel has known. Now Miguel has a 32 year old kid as his lead trainer. If I were a Cotto fan, I would be extremely concerned about this fact than any other as far as Cotto's camp goes. Miguel is also training outside of Puerto Rico for the first time, something that he always wanted. Well, sometimes not getting what you want as a fighter is what helps keep that edge on. In the end, I think if Cotto has to make any tactical changes during the fight, he is most definitely going to be at a disadvantage to Pac due to the inexperience in his corner.
