Yeah, boxrec's ratings are notoriously inaccurate. They're great for checking boxer records, but their ratings system leaves a lot to be desired.

How the hell do they have Oscar De La Hoya at number 10 P4P all time? As much as I love the guy, he clearly isn't even a top 10 welterweight.

    This.

We get a thread every six weeks about this. Boxrec's ratings are a joke, everyone knws that. Ignore them, they don't matter.

On Box Rec Arthur "the can killer" Abraham is #1 at 168 based on his win over Jermain Taylor's corpse.:patsch

Yeah, but put yourself in the position of the boxing fan whose new to the net and has little familiarity with boxrec? He's gonna look at the boxrec rankings and be like "man these are crazy?" Without any context, they just look ridiculous. Hell, even when you know how they're compiled they still look ridiculous, but at least you know why!

It does seem odd how you can receive more credit for a hail mary one punch KO whilst behind than you do for decking your opponent twice and winning 120-106 on all three cards :patsch

Their P4P ratings are garbage and quite arbitrary. The Boxrec division rankings, however, are quite accurate.
