They should wait till Bradley has fought Peterson then get him, or both of them in it to make it a 6 man thing. It just doesn't have as much revelance without Bradley in it. If they could get Bradley and JMM, now that would really be something.

    Timothy Bradley

    Amir Khan

    Devon Alexander

    Marcos Maidana

    Lamont Peterson

    Victor Ortiz

That would be my 140 Super Six

No way Kahn participates in this tournament.

Nice, I think either Khan or Maidana will win.

Maidana is the worst matchup for Khan and he has to fight him after Salita anyway

This would also be mine, and in a way, it's what we're getting (except for it being single elimination and Bradley-Peterson fighting on Showtime.)

I'm not looking at this tourney as HBO's response to Showtime's Super 6 but instead view the idea as a good way to secure good fights that will provide a little bit of clarity in a stacked division. (And also hopefully a potential star will emerge as a result)

I love this idea and hope they do even more. Alexander beats anyone in that tourney. He's the most skilled and complete fighter there.:deal

I rather see this happen at 147. There is so much more talent at 140 and you get Maidana and Ortiz. That should have been a rematch instead he is fighting at a catch weight fight. Will Ortiz even make 140. If anything, they should add at least two more names.

Maidana has repeatedly refused a rematch according to Ortiz.

And a WW tourney, although it would be the best best thing since sliced bread, is unrealistic and really not needed. Cotto's fighting Pac, Mosley's probably fighting Berto, and Mayweather is waiting in the wing.

140 meanwhile is stacked with lesser names and could definitely use some clarity. Hopefully a star will emerge from this tourney which would be a nice little bonus.

It's a shame that Ortiz and Alexander are matched against each other in the first round of the proposed scenario. I think both would beat either of the other two and would make for an exciting final.

Interesting tourney all the 140lb young blood guys...then test them with the real ones: Bradley & Urango. btw i like Ortiz-Khan for the final and Ortiz revindicating his carrer winning all.

Ortiz is the most talented, so naturally I'd favor him. Fighting another fighters game is an immature mistake i hope someone sets him straight on. If that happens, in a big way, I'd favor him over Alexander by UD and Maidana by UD, which i feel would also be the final.
