Just recently i went onto youtube to check out a few boxing clips and i came across the Prescott fight with Khan. So many people ive talked to tell me regarding that fight Khan was wobbled by a jab.

I didnt see it then...and i dont see it now!!

The first good punch that wobbles Khan is NOT a jab. In fact just concentrate on Prescott's movement and you can clearly see its not a jab but more a hook.

Glad we cleared this one up:good

I agree its somewhat of a hook of the jab, btw nothing major in being wobbled by a jab, a very well timed, stiff speedy jab can course alotta damage, some people think a jab is just solely a range finder but delivered well and its a good offencesive tool, much better tougher more durable fighters then Khan have not only been wobbled by a jab but indeed knocked down, Clottey against Cotto comes to mind although he walked into it.

Was definatly a hook, yeah I mean i remember watchin Sugar Ray Leonard KD'g (forgotten who) with a jab, a real sharp jab, no swing in it at all, just shows how accurate and sharp he was!

Guys i take your points...what i was getting at was people were making out a standard type jab had him in trouble.

And we are agreeing with you, but adding additional information! Being proactive rather than erm reactive, I don't know what word should go there but you get the point!

    I know, was just saying....

Although just to add to both of you peoples points....its extremely rare to see a fighter hurt by a jad.

Knocked down yes but seriously hurt...ive rarely ever seen that/if ever

It's not a jab at all, I was confused by people saying that too. Prescott and Khan are both swinging, with P more accurate.

What are you on about? You've already missed the part where he's wobbled by a jab in that video...

    40 seconds...watch the jab..watch the legs

You might be able to argue he was caught cold but there is no way you could argue it was one lucky punch he was caught with. Prescott looked like a world beater in that fight...

It certainly briefly turned his legs to jelly. It hard to tell if he would have recovered coz he was out cold a few seconds later from other shots lol

Rumors are that Khan's chin is not so good.

Exactly. Clear as day. Stiffened him up with a run of the mill jab.
