Unless Cotto walks into something big, I really don't see Pacquiao landing anything big enough to put Cotto down/out.

Miguel has the advantage in punching power and, IMO, it would be a HUGE mistake for the Pac Man to stand and trade with Cotto - especially early in the contest.

Pacquiao should box early and lay the foundation for a big finish late in the fight when Cotto has shot his wad...

As roach said it's not just speed or power that makes pac different from shane or zab...

it's pac's movement, speed, power combine with precision and angles.

To me, it depends on the kind of punch, for straights, or quick jabs, I might give the power edge to Pac, for a winding punch like a hook or uppercut, SSm would have more power. Pac has gigantic calves for his size. For a straight punch, the calves provide the power as a straight punch is more like a push off when coming in a straight line while a hook is coming from the shoulders. Also, speed adds power to a punch, like in golf, the faster the swing, the more power to your shots, this is due to a fast body rotation and wrist action. The thing is, a fast punch is inconsistent with its power because of timing. When timing plus distance is perfect with speed, it's deadly and the most effective. When u speak of natural raw power, I give the edge to Shane. But who gives the more effective punch, I'd say Pac.

The thing with Pac is his hands are so fast that you don't see the punch coming...Those are obviously the worst, whereas Mosley and the rest are not as quick giving Cotto time to brace himself a bit more.
