If Silva never fight Belfort, I will question Silva's spirit for the game. Seriously, Belfort is a pretty good NAME to try to add to your resume ! Much better than Griffin or Irvin.

I think it's just postpone until anderson recover. What the hell is up with anderson's team who keeps complaining about vitor belfort is not worthy of a title shot? Last time i check anderson silva got a title shot after beating leben..let me repeat that leben:patsch At least belfort beat a former champ. Who the **** is leben? he didn't even win the ultimate fighter show:lol:

That's what I thought, he didn't want to fight Hendo or Marquardt until they fought each other and he didn't want to fight Vitor either and then when the fight get's made the surgery resurfaces.

I like anderson but his team is talking too much crap. Anderson already defeated both hendo and nate before so it would be nice to see silva fight a new challenger.

Exactly, and sparking Franklin in the first round is impressive, not to mention beating lindlund in under a minute as well. I'd rather a Vitor fight at this point but it seems Andersons team are going to complain no matter what happens.

It's entirely possible that he actually needs the time to recover; I think that's the most likely answer. He is being a diva, but he did agree to the fight.

As for Dana's comment about "the exact same injuries," that's just bull****; Dana is not a doctor and there is no such thing as the exact same injury, there is no way of knowing how this type of surgery will heal, and if he doesn't feel that he's ready he's earned the right to delay so he has a full training camp.

If I was Silva the last person on Earth I would want to fight would be Belfort, because no matter how good Silva is Belfort can end the fight in less than a second. No one in MMA has the speed and power of Belfort and Silva knows this is a dangerous fight.

Nate or Dan might be safer to fight.

Absolutely, for Silva they are definitely safer. Dan's plan would be to grind it out with Silva, and he could possibly do it too, but confident Vitor can light Silva up with fast hands. I really think Silva is going to reserve strictly to Mui Thai for this one, with lot's of leg kicks staying away from Vitor.
It's sure as hell isn't going to look like Forrest vs Silva. At least I hope not cause that would be just scary if Silva does that to Vitor.

Anderson Silva CANT do this to Vitor. Forrest Griffin's handspeed is just mediocre.

I don't blame him. Why the **** would I fight vitor when my mandatories are nate and dan. those guys are stocky powerhouses who silva can sharpshoot and if that fails he can wrap em up like an octupus.

vitors speed to power ratio just isn't needed. silva might totally take away his striking advantage simply cos of that striking talent that vitor has. henderson, nate and others can punch but vitors got that natural born power where punches that DONT seem to land clean KNOCK YOU THE **** OUT!
