I took a look at Manny's March through the weight classes and every pound for pound or considered the best have their accomplishments and resume under scrutiny.

122-This division was stacked with Talent....Paulie Ayala was the man and Ring champion, Bones Adams was still a top contender, Israel Vazquez and Oscar Larios had a great series and were longtime titlist at the weight. Pac-Man has wins over Lehlo Ledwaba a good fighter and titlist and a shot former bantamweight titlist Jorge Julio.......

130-Fought a three fight series with all-time great Erik Morales...defeated a far past prime Barrera in a rematch that meant nothing IMO...It should be noted that Morales defeated him the first time around and had already been on the slide and had alot of wars...

135-Fought David Diaz, a fighter who IMO lost to a well far gone Morales and got a gift, and was the least threatening fighterwith a belt here. This weight had Nate Campbell, Juan Diaz, Joel Casamayor, even Julio Diaz would have been better....

112 - Chatchai Sasakul - Lineal champ who beat another great flyweight in Yuri Arbachakov. YES!

122 - Sure it was stacked in talent, but we gotta remember that Pac didnt call the shots back then, it wasnt easy to make fights. Still, he fought top 15 p4p Ledwaba & prime Agapito Sanchez. Sure he missed out some names but he sure did fight SOME of the best. YES!

126 - MAB, Barrera - Both prime or close enough to not matter. YES!

130 - Morales, MAB, JMM. Morales beat him within the same year and had only lost to MAB at 130. JMM was the champ who beat MAB. YES!

135 - NO.

140 - Hatton was lineal champ, ring champ and undefeated at the weight. YES.

147 - He's fighting Cotto in his second fight at 147. You can use DLH but consider that he was a LW jumping to WW, you expect him to fight the best there? Also consider that when the fight was signed, ODLH was considered a tougher customer than anyone he could have fought at 135...therefore in that year he took the toughest challenge. Also worth considering neither Pac or ODLH was even a WW. In 2 weeks he is fighting Cotto who is one of the best. YES!


So there you go, he's fighting the top guys 6 out of 7 divisions he's been in.

 

A usual thing to say of a hater to pick some downside comments in those victories. I think boxing fans are no idiot or dumb to believe what Pac has achieved in this sport.

Paulie Ayala was the best at 122, Ring Magazine Champion, 1999 fighter of the year and 2 wins over future HOFer Johnny Tapia im sure you know that so no....Ledwaba was a very good fighter top5 but he wasnt the best...At the time Vazquez and Larios were ranked higher...he didnt fight the best at the weight

He hasnt fought Cotto yet, he only fought one fight and that is DLH....further more Floyd Mayweather is the best at 147, he was the undefeated lineal champ and has comeback....Cotto and Mosley are the top 2 contenders outside Mayweather. For him to fight the best at 147 he has to beat Mayweather and no one else.

 

A very, very tired argument. Pacquiao has one of the best resumes of the past 20 years. Not only has he fought the best available, but he has fought them numerous times. Try another tactic to discredit him, because this old boring bull**** is convincing no *******.

How is 112 debatable? Sasakul was the lineal champ who beat a flyweight legend in himself. You could argue that Mark Johnson was the other guy to beat but that is a bit like saying you didnt fight the best at 147, you only beat SRL but not Pryor. You dont need to fight ALL of the best, one of the best is good enough.

122 - Pac would have fought anyone they threw at him. Ledwaba & Sanchez, both champs, infact together they held the 3 belts was good enough competition. We are not asking for Floyd to fight Margarito, Shane, Cotto, Pacquiao, PW...heck were just asking for one of the top WW's. Pac fought 2 top BW's. Thats good enough.

147 - How can you consider his first fight at 147, jumping from 135 a 147 fight? You expect a LW to fight the best 147 out there? That was a money fight that was considered a huge a risk. The thing is, you are looking at it as WW vs WW, therefore the WW has to fight the best WW. Its not, it was a LW vs a JMW fighting at WW. Pac is now a WW and he is fighting a top WW. It doesnt matter if he hasnt fought him yet. The issue here is their willingness to take on the toughest challenges, the fight is signed and in 2 weeks, in Pac's 2nd fight at WW, he is fighting the best. How long has Floyd been at WW now? Has he signed to fight anyone yet?
