expect to see more fanatical, bizarre statements such as this from the looney klitschko fan club.

 

Same thing with Lennox Lewis, Floyd, Hopkins, Jones, Toney, etc etc It's called boxing....this isn't a toughman competition, it's a sport!!!

 

i knew the klit-ites would go off the deep end after that statement from roach, im just gonna kick back and watch as the klitschko cheerleaders go in a frenzy.

And those are fighters who've recieved their fair share of flak too (don't know what you're on about with Toney though).

How can a fighter with the highest KO % in the history of the sport, weak competition or not he is still going for the stoppage, be accused of playing it safe?

As a boxing fan, and not a street brawling fan how can you blame fighters like Floyd, Hopkins, Jones, Vitali for not wanting to get hit???

 

I don't view what he said as in insult, except perhaps implying they don't go for it 100% in their fights. Not taking more risks than necessary is a good thing. If you're good enough to dominate while boxing, you do it and don't give your opponents the openings to beat you. That's what makes a smart fighter. Only go out on a limb when your primary plan isn't good enough to get you the win.

He is, yes but Toney will stand in fromt of anyone and try to knock them out. You can hardly accuse him of playing it safe.

 

Don't take risks? Didn't David Haye duck both brothers which would have been a huge risk to fight the easier fight in Valuev?



The Klitschko's have fought everyone available to them and are continuing to clean out the Division but they don't take risks? Wow.

I also remember Roach predicting that Sam Peter would knock out Vitali Klitschko. :roflatsch

It really doesn't matter what I have Vitali do differently because the division is a joke and he can overpower just about anyone. Nobody is out there to really expose him, but that has nothing to do with anything here. He said the Klits are boring and don't take a whole lot of chances. They don't, and he's right for the most part. Wlad's last fight was arguably his best performance. As great as he was, and as magnificent as he was it was getting a little boring watching hide behind a jab against a opened up and defenseless opponent for 9 rounds. Throw the friggen right already! As for Vitali, I wouldn't ever have him turn his back and run the other way in the face of pressure. :good
