Hasn't Haye already said that he wants to be retired by the time he is 30? even if he beat Wlad & Vitali it wont be that great, Wlad is a liability to waiting to happen and is not considered an elite! Heavyweight because he so vulnerable to being Ko'ed, Vitali is getting older by the day. Haye does not have the competition to establish that kind of reputation, thats without talking about the fact that he is probably not good enough to beat the aforementioned anyway.

It is a fact that Larry Holmes in his prime was good enough to do extremely well in any era of heavyweight history.

It is also a fact that David Haye is untested and unproven in an extremely weak era of heavyweight history.

    This ain't rocket science.

I wasn't too terribly impressed with Haye in his match against Jean Marc Mormeck. Yes, Mormeck was a game opponent who had some good moments, but I also think that he exposed Haye...

Here is a clip going into round 4, and around track 1:30, Mormeck gets him trouble.

Holmes was not prime when he fought Carl Williams :nut

How do you come to the conclusion Haye would beat Norton when Haye himself has only proven!!! himself against Bonin, Barrett.

What you are talking is ridiculous, let Haye prove something before you start spouting such utter garbage.

I'm not going to argue that Haye beats Holmes, that would be ridiculous. But who has Holmes beat that equates to the level of wins over Wlad & Vitali? They would be 2 extraordinary names on his resumé.

At the pace he fights, I would agree with you.
Fair play to you for not resorting to childish insults just because someone has a differing opinion.

Haye would not even beat a Ray Mercer, Mercer got his ass outboxed by a past it Holmes, McCall look like **** against Holmes to, and i strongly believe if Holmes had not been that old he would of maintained the pace and beat McCall.

    Take it easy man.

Irlandsk isn't trolling or looking for fights, he's just voicing an opinion. I don't particularly agree with his logic, and with all due respect to him, I'd like to find out how much background he truly has on Holmes, but he's not saying anything out of hand. My guess is that he's a young dude who just hasn't seen much of Larry.

In the interest of restoring reason and intelligence to ESB, let's all just agree that the mighty Haye would knock Larry Holmes out. Ok, there, we've all succumbed to this thread's mind-numbing boxing ignorance. Congratulations. Thread over.
