WBC, in regards to your recent decison in suspending Chris Arreola for using a in appropriate language on TV, I really think your orginization needs to take a 2nd look at what your doing in this regard. Mike Tyson a man who has carried your title for years, was allowed to use some of the most foul languge and terms man has ever witnessed, and you had no problem allowing him to fight Lennox Lewis for your WBC title after the words he used during the press conference. I would like for you to consider the following facts. 1: The fight was over prior to HBOs interview 2: the fight was aired on Cable TV which allows the use of this kind of language on their regular broadcasting. 3: Chris did absolutly nothing to give the sport a bad name, nor did he break any rules. 4: in Chris's last fight, he also used some swear words, and nothing was said about that, and your orginization in fact allowed him to compete against Vitali for your title since. I do not think that the WBC should be allowed to impose any kind of suspension on any fighter for expressing his emotion, this is boxing and its time we start to keep it that way. I think if anything the WBC if they are going to start suspending people for using bad words, look at any 24/7 series with Mayweather, why not suspend him as well? This suspension is uncalled for un warrented and basicly another way for politics to effect the sport, we have deeper issues in boxing other than a man using foul words. we are living in a time where fighters use illegal hand wraps, steriods etc.... Though I agree the sport needs to clean itself, I think it should start with the issues that are far more severe than a man using a bad word or two, especially when there are other things going on behind the scenes that can cost a human life. I know, I know, but god damn doesnt the WBC have better things to be doing rather than some petty **** like this?
The suspension really doesn't matter really. Arreola will still fight.Just not for any WBC titles, titel eliminators or rankings.
But that isnt the point, I mean **** whats next the WBC starts suspending fighters for not having proper english speaking skills, I mean this is some bottom of the barrel kind of ****, its a joke, really, I mean its a way to say you know what we are in control.
good stuff! Yea if he gets banned thats bull****...I mean how about when David Diaz got his ass whooped and he was saying f this and he was to effin fast n all that...i dont think ne thing happened to him (I could be wrong though):huh
Thats not the point, the point is they are doing **** they should not be doing, I could see if some rules were broken but there is nothing wrong with what he said, I mean for **** sakes Hopkins and his white boy comment didnt even get this treatment.
Arreola lost EVERY single round against Klitschko he was not even competitive he should not be ranked anyway. This means nothing in the grand scheme of things.
Get out of here with that Bull**** seriously, styles make fights and fighters do have off nights.....
