Holyfield could fight South African, Francois Botha, on Dec. 19, in Uganda. A good showing in the Botha fight could also lead to a possible title shot at WBC champion, Vitali Klitschko, Holyfield's manager, Ken Sanders, told FanHouse on Tuesday.

I think Evander will decision Botha and then go for Vitali next year. Holyfield is more deserving than Kirk Johnson and Chris Arreola.

Botha really struggled last time out. Neither should be fighting in my opinion despite Holyfield effort against Valuev.

Back in the day, this could've been fun. Not that I think Botha would've won but he would've probably gone the distance and remained competative.

Now, well neither are what they were. But after a good showing against Hoffman Botha did look poor in his last fight, so Holy probably takes it.

Judging from Bothas last performance, I pick Holyfield in this one. Maybe even by stoppage. Holyfield is still dangerous against fighters who don't move too fast, and Botha has slowed down considerably (he never was that fast to begin with).

But I hope that Holyfield doesn't face Vitali. I don't want Evander to get hurt. And I don't see him having a chance against Vitali either. This fight would be a farce. Since Holyfield just won't retire, he should rather get another shot at the WBA belt instead - the one he should've won anyways last year.

But ironically, Holyfield is indeed more deserving than Johnson or Arreola since he did beat Valuev and got robbed (even if it was a close fight). I don't think young guns Arreola or Johnson could have done that - and that's very sad. You're right on point with this.

I don't think this figt will happen though.

Botha just fought and he had a tear in his metatarsian in his hand from the first round.Certainly not in december.

And yes Holyfield would beat him, pretty bad prolly but really I don't want to see Evander near a ring anytime soon.

Its a shame that is what it takes for challenging for the title.

Botha was thoughtfully defeated in his last outing against a little known Cuban, Pedro Carrion, a last replacement himself, and well over 35.

Out of shape, unimaginative, no aggression, pathetic.

At this point Carrion could be a better test for Hollyfield

I wasn't being snotty, I really didn't know. Kirk Johnson was an HW fighter, he just hasn't been active for quite a while.

Why do most people think holyfield would win? Botha, although not impressive in his last bout has been active over the last year. Holyfield has not fought since valuev and only once i think a year before that to ibragimov. Botha working hard for the fight like against hoffman and not suffering broken hand and taking it seriously should beat Holyfield now. Holyfield or Botha i think they should aim for valuev or haye. Both are opponents beatable and both could cause an upset.

The speed difference alone would make it a very hard fight for Botha man.Evander would get off first almost everytime and against a guy like Botha who keeps a slow pace he can still go in and out and fight in spurts.
And you know me,I'm a big Botha fan.

This isn't a bad fight for Holyfield to take. Very winable.
