Much Respect to Cotto

    Watching 24/7 you have to admire the way the guy goes to work. All business, all the time. I thought his job on Mosley was master class. He's going to have to cut off the ring, push Pac to the ropes, and work the body just like that if he wants to win. If he did it against Mosley I don't see why he wouldn't be capable of repeating that performance, although I think Pacquiao's footspeed is the elephant in the room. Pac's closing speed is the most overlooked aspect of his game. Most opponents think he is out of range only for the Pacman to be throwing volume combos in their faces split-seconds later is what makes him unique. Look how he darted in and out (but rarely straight back) when he demolished DLH. I think that's the most interesting variable in the fight...how Cotto handles Pac's footspeed.

    Clearly my handle is a dead giveaway on who I'm supporting, but as long as I can see a clean fight, out of the hands of the 3 super-corrupt judges assigned, then I can accept the verdict either way. Pac's legacy is secure no matter what; Cotto can really add to his with a win here. From what I've seen over the course of his career, especially the way he handled the Margarito controversy (aside from swearing his mouth off in frustration on a PR TV talkshow) Cotto's a class act and deserves the respect of the fans win or lose.

    Oh yeah, to the Rican brothers out there, what's usually in those pinchos Team Cotto is eating on 24/7? Looks good. I never see any Puerto Rican restaurants on the West Coast.

    pinchos are made of meat or chiken, onions pepper with a sweet sauce on a BBQ.

    You are right hes all business in the gym, but in real life away from cameras he is the same, boring as hell and with no personality. He is a boxer not made for cameras and to act polite.

    Oh yeah, I see no reason why people would dislike Cotto. He is doing something similair to Hatton (when he jumped a whole weight divison to fight the P4P best, although not as much obviously but a sacrifice is a sacrifice). Mosley, Clottey, Margarito. There is 3 top class boxers who were avoided (and still are) that he dare face. Thats one hell of a resume right there and he deserves lots of props.

    Cotto is a very admireable champion. He's already fought Mosley and Margarito, two guys that Mayweather has shamelessly avoided. He took on Clottey , who no one wants to fight. Some say he has no personality, but we're talking about a fighter here, not a talk show host. Cotto communicates with his fists. He fights more than he talks , which is unfortunatly , becoming rare in pro boxing nowadays.

    Props to both fighters....boxing needs a fight this big right now. I honestly like Pac-Man(he won me over when I saw him beat Ledwaba on that Tyson-Lewis undercard) more than Cotto whom I didnt like until he lost to Margarito and showed so much skill and grit. Im pulling for Cotto because they arent giving him a chhance in a fight I see as being 50-50. Also to shut these Pac-Tards up. Im a fan but damn they take it to another level.

    everybody knows that this fight can go either way....Pacman is a dangerous opponent for sure but I am sticking to Cotto based on his superior strength. I will be happy either way because boxing will win on Nov. 14.
