A rarity in today's boxing, especially considering that Jean Pascal is the WBC champion and a top 5 LHW. I wish most champions and contenders were like this.

    He's fought

2009-04-04 Pablo Daniel Zamora Nievas KO5
2009-06-19 Adrian Diaconu UD12 - LHW WBC Belt
    2009-09-25 Silvio Branco TKO10 - WBC Mandatory
    2009-12-11 Adrian Diaconu ?

Great to see. I really like him and rate him. Would love him see him fight RJJ, shame it won't happen after B-Hop retires him.

He should fight Dawson or Cloud the only two other young guys at the top of the division.

He has been so much slow down by his shoulder injury in 2007-08, he wanted to catch up some time. You can be sure if he beats Diaconu on Dec. 11, he will then take a long break until next Summer. On the other end, maybe his promoter GYM will put pressure on him to fight a voluntary on a short notice to get rid of the options GYM had to give up to Diaconu's promoter Interbox for Pascal's next three fights following Diaconu-Pascal I.

Something tells me Dawson wouldn't face Pascal. Not because he's afraid of him. Just because he doesn't face young fighters in their prime. I expect him to go after the Jones-Hopkins winner.

But hey, he aid he's interested in being part of the super six and the day after he says he could go up to heavyweight.

As for Pascal, he fought a lot this year. He said he would wlow down a bit next year, which is the thing to do at that level.

Old school fighter. Him and Bradley are two of my blue-collar favourites.

A real gent as well, I had the pleasure of meeting him twice at the Froch-Dirrell fight and he actually shooed his girlfriend away as not to bail out on our conversation :rofl :good

I wish him all the best. Fought the wrong fight against Froch but has shown he gets better as fights go on since he moved up to 175.

    He can be shaken, he can be outfought, but he seems decent all-round really. His chin is nowhere near as bad as I first feared and as he said to me in Nottingham when I enquired about possible fights with Cloud and Dawson;

'Next year my friend, I want all the belts'

Gotta respect the guys balls. Cloud is one dimensional was fairly fast and tough, not too high on Dawson, but those three guys could be in some damn good fights together.

Get Shumenov an American trainer and he will make up the 4th piece :deal

Pascal vs Diaconu II has to happen. Not because it was very close but because it was a great fight with non-stop drama in it.

As per what's next? I wouldn't mind seeing him against Yusef Mack or Glen Johnson. I figure that Dawson and Cloud will be busy pursuing more expensive matters and that'll leave Pascal out of the mix. Both of those guys represent moderate challenges and could make for a decent FNF showcase.

I think 4 fights in a year is the most that would happen nowadays(for a champ/top contender),promotional stuff wouldnt really allow more than that
